Salem Glen Country Club

Course was not in good shape for late April. The greens rolled inconsistent, the bunker I was in on 11 (the only bunker I was in today) was just dirt, no sand, and the tee boxes were in bad shape. The grass was higher than the tees on 18. When I got to the course they said I was paired up with 2 other people. When I got to the first tee, I found out they had paired me with 2 walking women. Luckily they let me go on, but I was very underwhelmed at Salem Glen

The course was in excellent shape and the only issue I have is that the greens have not fully recovered from aeration and thus, the standard rate charged is not appropriate.

Nice staff and really helpful people on the course! Met really nice golfers. Would play again but an hour from our home!

This is a great course and a steal for under $30. Everyone moved right along and the pace was great! Would definitely recommend playing here. Greens are scary fast... very dry conditions. Use it to your advantage!!

The pace of play was terrible, we waited for every shot, there wasn't a ranger to keep the pace of play moving, the group in front of us would miss a 2 ft putt, and then try it again. It took 5 hours and 15 minutes to play 18 holes.

Not bad for the money. Would definitely like to play it again when it's a little warmer.

Hopefully warmer weather in Spring will help, but a number of greens and fringe areas are in poor shape. When in good shape it’s an excellent test.

I travel all over for work and have played many different courses. This course is def in my top 10 best! Great layout with holes that are challenging, but won’t severely punish you on misses, greens are in fantastic shape, and for the money you can’t do any better. Only in Area for 2 months and played this particular course 5 times already. Love it.

Moved around quickly, in well under 4 hours. Greens a bit bumpy and fairways thin, but just glad no rain and course is drying out. Looks like the new owners are doing some work.

This is the second time I've had issues at SG when booking a HD and I don't play there that much. The last time, they didn't report that greens had been top dressed and were covered with sand. This time they did not mention that the HD was right behind an all day tournament of fivesomes. It took five hours to play and barely finished before dark. In addition, the course was very muddy from grading that is going on on several holes. I'm glad I only paid $25. I hope the new management does a better job of communicating to GN about course conditions..
