Greens are LONG and SLOW
Great course layout but man I was disappointed in the condition of the greens.
Not bad for midsummer
Summer Saturday afternoon round of golf. Course conditions were near perfect, although the greens were a bit shaggy - which they have to do this time of year to prevent losing them. Pace of play pretty good - a little over 3.5 hours. Staff at Salem Glen is always very cordial and make you feel welcome as their guest - one of the best around. Thanks!
Worst Customer experience EVER!
I have played this course dozens of times. This time, we booked a tee time through golf now, we had a last minute issue and ask them if they would allow us to move the tee time earlier, to which they said no, because they had a tournament. Totally understandable. We asked him if they would let us cancel and reschedule, they said no. So we agreed that we would just play. We ordered a bucket of balls, for which they charged us. And promptly after signing our credit card receipt they tell us that they are running 20 to 25 minutes behind on golf carts so we will just have to wait. Seems to me a great opportunity to offer a customer a bucket of balls to hit while they wait, since you didn't have their tee time ready. The two individuals that work the pro shop are very unprofessional and severely lack in the area of customer service. I'll never golf here again AND I will let all of my golfer friends know about my experience.
greens were very slow and bumpy with a lot of divot marks
Lied on
Made tee time in Golfnow and a player didn't show so I asked the pro shop if I could get a rain check for 1 round and was told to take it up with GN after contacting GN the pro shop lied and said I had all four there which was not true. Golfnow took care of me after the round but Salem Glen has lost my business in the future.
Excellent course
Great course one of the best I have ever played, I thought I was playing in a PGA tournament the course was in great shape. Fairways in great shape and rough very tough to get out of. Greens also in great shape. Excellent driving range and clubhouse. Golf carts are the best I have ever used, even had USB ports for charging.
Coming back Aug 10 to play again with 3 friends. Highly recommend.

great course...can be slow at times but its layout is phenomenal and the views are great
Good Shape. Fun Course
Course is in good shape. Can't think of a spotty green. Consist roll. There was a lightning delay and a kids tournament in front of us and things still ran pretty smooth.
Good lyout
Great lay out. The grass on tee boxes were a little long and the greens a bit slow/spongy for the summer though
