Rocky River Golf Club at Concord
About
Rocky River Golf Club was carefully carved from lush, rolling hills and natural wetlands with the intent of preserving the beautiful terrain as much as possible. The course flows across the dramatic natural contours of the land, providing holes with plenty of elevation changes. Running alongside the rolling fairways are winding ribbons of native wetland grasses that weave through rocky outcroppings. Golfers shouldn't be surprised if they come across some of the wildlife that inhabits the course, which includes cranes, deer, and beavers. In addition to the stunning scenery, the golf course offers a challenging round. The large, contoured greens demand accurate iron play. Errant shots will find their way to the wetland areas or the patches of seeded fescue. In addition to the golf course, Rocky River offers a driving range with four target greens as well as a putting and chipping green.

I love this course!
Played another nice round at Rocky River. It's about an hour's drive for our group, but worth it. Nice layout, great condition, very friendly staff.
On this day, because of recent rains, it was cart path only. That slowed down play, especially on the back nine. It turned into a five hour round. Nevertheless, it was a great golf experience, and we'll be certain to return!
Highly recommended!
Good Course - Uncontrolled Pace
Layout is great and the practice green is spacious. Pace of play was very slow, but it might have had to do with the carts on path daily rule.
Great track!
This is a hidden gem. Course was beautiful and in great shape. Greens and fairways were great! I will definitely be back.
Staff very arrogant
Every time I've played here the pro shop has an attitude. Playing today and gps not working Keith in pro shop says well its cart path only so you don't need it. Every time I play here they are very condensing are arrogant like they are Bushwood or something. Not impressed
I tried this course multiple times and every time same snotty attitude won't be back
Rocky River
The course was in excellent condition. The greens were in great condition as well. I will definitely recommend this course.
Fabulous Greens
Tee areas: Fairly flat, wide spaced markers, and multiple tees to choose from, ground was medium hard, (no big hammer needed).
Fairways: Good condition, well defined.
Bunkers: well defined, good amount of sand, not difficult.
Greens: Spectacular condition. Fast and true, easiest day putting you will have in the area. Pace of play was great, we never saw another foursome. It seemed a busy day at the clubhouse and driving range. Speaking of driving range, grass tees or mats possible. Balls were well used range balls with a few new mixed in.
Great Condition
This course layout is one of the best in the region. Greens are quick and in great condition as are the fairways. Keeping the ball in the fairway is crucial as the Rough swallows golf balls. The only complaint is the golf cart read something along the line of environmental area keep out...while the cart is on the path. This happened 3 times including on 18 as darkness approached.
Excellent Day
This course is very maintained and consistently great in every aspect!
Great place slow pace
We played as a threesome, and were behind a group that would not let us through. Should have finished slot soone. AND WHY IS 18 always Cart Path Only. I love this course though
Great Course
Greens are fantastic. Condition of the course is fantastic. Felt like I was playing a private club. Will play often
I love this course!
Rocky River is one of my favorite courses. The conditions are always good, it is challenging, and the beauty of this course is breathtaking. It is a hidden jewel that seems far removed from the outside world despite it being located in the center of a commercial enclave. I drive an hour to play here, and my last round I brought three new guys to the course. I played like crap, but I loved being there!
Fun Day
Very nice course , great condition, challenging greens in great shape, no ball marks, Cart has excellent GPS.
WIll go back , Pro guy for Chicago was very helpful
Home Course
I am a local resident and play often at this course. I used to be a member at a private club and Rocky River can compete with them, especially the greens.
City Course
Would be better if not overpriced and if the staff was not a revolving door. Good course but overpriced to be owned by the City.
Exceeded all expectations
This course was in mint condition with no complaints. Hands down one of the best courses in the area. The green were In tournament condition and so were the fairways because of the cart path only. I would recommend to any level golfer who is up for a challenge and will definitely be returning.
Overpriced for the Course
I had high hopes for a good day at Rocky River, but I left the course slightly disappointed. Mainly, I thought the course was way overpriced at $72 for 18 holes on a Saturday. The conditions weren’t great and the greens were a bit bumpy following a recent aeration a few weeks prior. I thought $55-60 would have made a lot more sense for the conditions of the course. I also had a discussion with a ranger that was more confrontational than amicable, which was very disappointing and nothing like the pleasant experience and interaction with the pro shop staff.
The course isn’t bad; more wide open on the front and more tree-lined and winding on the back, and pace of play was extremely slow with several backups on holes where two groups were on the same tee. I would not pay anywhere close to $70 again to play here, though I do like the course and would return if I found a better deal.
