Terribkencourse conditions, awful staff
Tee boxes were mud and greens were ponds. Pace of play is so slow, we were waiting on people in front of us and the ranger chewed us out for not hitting, even though we would have been hitting into people.
Front desk staff is clueless and made it hard to get a refund for our tee time being moved back 1 1/2 hours for a rains delay. For the price of this course I feel like there are so many better places to play in the Charlotte area and I won’t be back.

Easy course to play
Nice course, minimal hazards. Very few bunkers. Great course to learn or sharpen your game. I will be playing there again. First time playing in a decade, didn’t embarrass myself, LOL.

Solid value
Course was in good shape, held great pace of play, and was a great value at just $45. The greens are comically small on some of the holes, but the course overall is not difficult.
Good bang for you buck
Nothing fancy, but not overpriced. Challenging but doable. Starter was friendly.
Sunset Hills
Played here a few times now.
Front 9 is tight w lots of doglegs. A few holes have tee boxes right near the previous green.
Back 9 is longer, more open, more playable and much more fun.
Conditions are decent enough considering its a muni course that gets a lot of play.
The short course is very nice and fun too for players of all ages, skills and abilities.
Very nice course with a little something for everyone at a great value.
Sunset Hills
It's a good value and decent price for the course.
Front 9 is tight with lots of doglegs. Too many holes where other golfers can be hit or hit at you.
Back 9 is more challenging and more fun to play. It's more open and allows the ability to actually hit driver on multiple holes.
The short 9 hole course is actually really fun and has a good layout. Great for players of all abilities to go play and have fun.
Nice lil course, good value and the staff has been great every time we've been here.
Good golf for the price
Excellent course to learn and the food in the club house is great. They have golf pros there for lessons as well. Definitely recommend Sunset golf
Challenging for everyone
Greens are tough, and the fairways are forgiving. My mother played golf for the first time here and she had a great experience. Would recommend playing here if in Charlotte.
Not bad for the course.
It was overall a great course for my first time playing it. The pace was a bit off after the first 9 for some reason but still went fairly ok. The layout has you sharing some fairways but not bad. Definitely had to play the tips as it’s a shorter course. Would definitely play again.
First time
Course is great for price. Best greens out of all the Charlotte munis.
Pace is slow since so many beginners tee off from the tips. Would play again.
Fun day
Course was fun to play. Confusing lay out we were lucky to play with someone who knew the course. Some of the holes were too close. You needed to always be on guard.
