we had a group of 4 in front of us we had 3 people they wouldn’t let us play through took way longer than should had kelp hitting several balls off tee box they took average of 11 minutes per hole smh

Not right now
The staff was great. The layout is interesting. Apparently they have not had any rain (I’m a visitor) so the course is very dry, which made the fairways and greens very hard. Overall, I don’t know if I can recommend the course until they have had some rain.

Sunset Hills Golf Course
Great golf course with a fair challenge, beautiful scenery and their grill has some great food! My only downside is they really need someone actively driving the beverage cart. This is my second time playing here and I got thirsty after Hole 12 and wanted to buy a drink. I don’t know what they did to the staff member that drives the cart, but if they could bring her back that would be much appreciated!

Great course for your money!
Besides a couple of tee box repairs, the course played wonderfully. Play was a tad on the slow side with a couple of inexperienced golfers that were fine, golf wise, but didn't position their carts well to play ready golf so they backtracked a lot which slowed down play. But the weather was great and the course played nicely, even with a few temporary tee boxes.

Terribkencourse conditions, awful staff
Tee boxes were mud and greens were ponds. Pace of play is so slow, we were waiting on people in front of us and the ranger chewed us out for not hitting, even though we would have been hitting into people.
Front desk staff is clueless and made it hard to get a refund for our tee time being moved back 1 1/2 hours for a rains delay. For the price of this course I feel like there are so many better places to play in the Charlotte area and I won’t be back.

Easy course to play
Nice course, minimal hazards. Very few bunkers. Great course to learn or sharpen your game. I will be playing there again. First time playing in a decade, didn’t embarrass myself, LOL.

Solid value
Course was in good shape, held great pace of play, and was a great value at just $45. The greens are comically small on some of the holes, but the course overall is not difficult.
Good bang for you buck
Nothing fancy, but not overpriced. Challenging but doable. Starter was friendly.
Sunset Hills
Played here a few times now.
Front 9 is tight w lots of doglegs. A few holes have tee boxes right near the previous green.
Back 9 is longer, more open, more playable and much more fun.
Conditions are decent enough considering its a muni course that gets a lot of play.
The short course is very nice and fun too for players of all ages, skills and abilities.
Very nice course with a little something for everyone at a great value.
