Rocky River Golf Club at Concord
About
Rocky River Golf Club was carefully carved from lush, rolling hills and natural wetlands with the intent of preserving the beautiful terrain as much as possible. The course flows across the dramatic natural contours of the land, providing holes with plenty of elevation changes. Running alongside the rolling fairways are winding ribbons of native wetland grasses that weave through rocky outcroppings. Golfers shouldn't be surprised if they come across some of the wildlife that inhabits the course, which includes cranes, deer, and beavers. In addition to the stunning scenery, the golf course offers a challenging round. The large, contoured greens demand accurate iron play. Errant shots will find their way to the wetland areas or the patches of seeded fescue. In addition to the golf course, Rocky River offers a driving range with four target greens as well as a putting and chipping green.

Always nice
This course is always nice. I live playing here the layout is both challenging and rewarding. The greens were in great condition especially for this time of the year. The fairways were dormant and my only really drawback is that it was CPO, ( no fault of the course) but overall a great round at a great course
Doesn’t make sense ??
They want you to pay upfront ( so less personal contact . Safety protocol, ) but you have to be in a group of four to play or book tee time . ? You can’t play single!
Overbooked Tee Times
Pace of play was horrific. 3+ hours for 9 holes. Awful and do NOT book through Golfnow.
Golf in December - Don’t Complain
Beautiful day, course was cart path only which definitely took away a little enjoyment. But overall, for end of December in NC, the course was in good shape. Couple of the tee boxes were frozen, but greens were fast and rolled fairly true. They were on about a 2 hour frost delay when we arrived but the staff did an excellent job getting folks out and caught up...pace of play was terrific!! You should definitely play Rocky River if you’re in the area.
Winter Golf
Course is in great shape despite arguably one of the busiest years in memory. Greens are still smooth and rolling true. Always great to play at one of the best courses in the area. Also one of the best values in the area
Beautiful Course and great value with fast and true greens!
I love this course! It is a challenging course with a great design presenting a new and different feel each time you play it. The back nine is my personal favorite. Brian is friendly and professional and Christine makes great drinks and always greats you with a smile.
Beautiful december day
The greens were a little pock marked, but all else was fine.
Fabulous layout!
First time golfing at this beautiful course. The layout was friendly and the greens were spectacular! Will be back again
Great Track
Helping some new golfers explore courses, this is one of my favorites in the fall. Challenging, some good views, fast but true greens and doesn’t overcharge. They keep play moving as well - 410 round on Black Friday was a pleasant surprise.
Great condition
Tee time at 2 pm. Ran out of daylight, course is in great condition, but will play there again
Great Course!
Overall, this is a great course, and a great day out. The course is in great condition, it is perfect for all players (beginner and advanced). The tee boxes are well maintained, fairways are great, and greens run fast! Staff was great (cart lady could have been a little more enthusiastic to sell beer and earn a tip - I asked if she takes cards and the response was “sure, but I have to fill out a form” I said if it is easier I can just wait for the turn to which she said “sure” and drove off - only negative to this course).
Great course, would recommend, and looking forward to coming again (and buying beer from the clubhouse).
Driver friendly course
Very fun, but maddening if you can’t hit a very far tee shot. Lot of long par 4 and par 5 holes make distance off the tee vital to make par. Simple yet challenging layout and well kept conditions make it an enjoyable round. Plus if you’re a nascar fan, you can hear the cars at the nearby Charlotte motor speedway while you’re on the course.
