Broadmoor Golf Course
First time playing the Broadmoor. Course was in good condition. There is lots of water and since we didn’t know the ideal landing spots, we ended up loosing a few balls. Definitely will play the course again and with a little course knowledge I expect to play it even more. We enjoyed our round.
Meh
Tee boxes are in bad shape. Some fairways are being worked on and quite muddy. Certain holes (1, 9, and11) are overgrown with trees and make tee shot really difficult for lefties. The layout is fine but fairly forgettable. What broadmoor does offer is an accessible course and really solid practice facilities for a public course.
Broadmoor Golf Course
This was the first time to play the Broadmoor. Overall, the course is in good condition. The fairways were cut to a nice height but the rough was a little long making it challenging to find the golf ball at times. The course has plenty of water. If fact, 13 of the holes have water which makes for a challenging round when you don’t know the best place to hit your ball. The course is fair and we found it enjoyable to play. We will play it again. I do recommend the Broadmoor.
Nice little couse
Tucked away in the mountains but very nice and well kept. Interesting course design and a few interesting holes. Sand was a bit packed but greens and fairways in good condition and tee boxes ok. Got out early on a weekday and played alone with a fast 2some in front and no one behind. Got out 15 min early. Only wait was first hole. No starter though just checked in and was told go ahead. Could see that being a problem if busier but may have starters at peak times. Staff extremely friendly and helpful
Father's Day, Beware
This will be a two layered review. Layer one, course condition:
Been playing Broadmoor for years. For the amount of play it receives, it is in great shape. Greens run fast and true, fairways have plenty of green on them and the rough is penalizing but not brutal. Beware, there is a lot of water on this course, 10 holes have water in play with a couple more that have water in proximity, depending on how bad you hit the ball!
Layer two: Father's Day. We were afraid it would be jammed with golfers. Not so. Booked a 3 pm hot time, arrived at 2. Starter said the tee was ours when we wanted, after a 15 minute warm up, we hit the first tee. Dad and his two beginning golfers had showed up. they were great, let us right through on #2. Clear sailing for about 4 holes. Then we caught a 6-some. Clearly, when tee times are sparse, Broadmoor is extremely gracious with their allowance of larger groups. After two holes, they allowed us through. Just beware, on slower days, this may be an issue. Thankfully both sets of golfing groups were etiquette conscious enough to let us (2 golfers) thru.
A pop up shower arrived on the 8th green through the 10th tee and cleared the course. Didn't help the scoring, but the pace of play was amazing.
If you're in the area and looking for an enjoyable round, hit Broadmoor up, it's worth it!
My go to
I’ve played this course for the last 20 years. They have the best public driving range in town. Greens and fairways are consistently good. Nice clubhouse. Only negative is the price has doubled since I started playing here.
Over Sold Course
3 hours to play 9 holes, quit after 1st 9 holes because we were on pace for a 6+ hour round.
3 groups per hole at times, 8 min tee times is ridiculous this course was over sold for the day and pace of play was atrocious.
Great course
Great course close to the airport. Nice wide fairways and great par 3s. Planes flying overhead is a plus if that doesn't bother you. The driving range can be self operated and is a nice spot to warm up. Multiple chipping and putting greens to dial it in before playing a really great course for the price it's hard to beat.
Hope you hit every fairway.
Played this course so many times, almost weekly for the last year but it was completely gone down hill. The rough is at least 6”deep everywhere and full of massive clumps of dead clippings. Starter sent a group of 5 walkers out before my group of 2, even though we talked to them and they agreed it would make so much more sense to let us go first. Also yelled at us and ran us down on the first tee box to add a random third who showed up late to his tee time. If it’s rained at all in the last week you can expect about half the course to be cart path only and not only will that slow you down, but the regulars who play there will not let you play through.
