MetroWest Golf Club
About
This Robert Trent Jones Sr. design is one of the area’s most venerable venues. The fluid beauty of MetroWest provides for a challenging but playable experience. Wide rolling fairways give all levels of players the opportunity to find the short grass, and the four sets of tees working from 7,051 yards down to the 5,325-yard forward tees make hitting greens in regulation a reasonable endeavor. No push over, though, bunkers seem to anchor every corner on every dogleg and elevation changes of up to 100 feet in some circumstances tug back in the course’s favor.

Left me questioning.
Every single green had a back pin. No middle, or front, all back pins, why? The course was in alright shape except for greens 17 and 18 were in terrible condition. If I had paid full price I would be totally disappointed. But with the GolfNow hot deal I purchased and my promo code and GolfPass membership it was only $15.00. I guess you get what you pay for.
Course in horrible condition
Green fee was about $30 however think it should be half that
Going down
Played this course a couple of months ago and it was ok. This time around, it was not so ok. Really needs work, One green didn’t even have a hole for putting (?… seriously… no hole)! 3 carts came after we called and didn’t look like anything was done!? Avoid until they figure out what’s what!
Course in Bad Shape
I’m convinced the groundskeeper and superintendent must not have any basic knowledge of what a golf course should be. Sandy tee boxes, bare spots in fairways. Practice range was all sand……what a nightmare. NOT WORTH the $50 charged. The best thing the owner can do is sell this course to someone who cares about the game. Other nearby courses that charge the same or less are worth going to before this 18 hole roadside trash.
What happened?
I played this course several times over the fall and winter and the course was in decent shape. I was shocked to see the shape it's in now. Fairway grass has been burned up by the sun and is mostly dead with hard mud - sand between patches of grass. It looks like it hasn't been watered in a long time, even though it's the rainy season. On the bright side most of the green complexes have been maintained and are in good condition. Holes 17 & 18 greens are mostly dead. Very sad to see this course go downhill so badly after the last few years where they really brought the course into decent shape. Do not recommend.
Worst Golf Ever
Played this track a couple years ago quite frequently, always solid and better greens than most public course.
Fast forward to now it is in absolute shambles, criminal to charge anything at all, let alone 45$ for a round. Losing balls to Crab grass overgrown in fairways, greens drier than you’ve ever seen, tee boxes from a farm field.
Will never return here
Terrible condition of course
I have played this course 5-6 times previously but have never seen it like this. Haven’t been here in about 9 months but will not go back. While the greens were is decent shape, they were definitely overgrown and very slow.
The fairways (if you capsule call them that) were over grown. We lost two balls in the fairway! There were weeds and patches of “grass” at least 6-8 inches high.
I’ll be back
Love the layout of this course! The fairways and tee boxes could use a little TLC. The cart crew was awesome and the price made for a good experience overall.
Greens not mowed
Much of the course was not mowed. Fairways, rough and greens all needed mowing. The greens were great last year, but now need much attention. I will not play here again until the course is improved.
Good course to play.
Metro West Golf Course is in good conditions despite the lack of rain in the area. The grees and fairways are in good conditions, the T-boxes are a little dry but playable.
Metro wast
Course conditions were not good tee boxes need improvement fairways need to be improved as well as the greens
Needs some TLC
The course was in pretty rough shape and could really use some major improvements. The tee boxes were in bad condition, the fairways were bumpy with lots of weeds, and while the greens rolled decently in most spots, there were some burn areas. I was able to play 9 holes in about 80 minutes, which was nice since it was pretty empty, but I wouldn’t go back unless they make some drastic upgrades. Hoping they can turn it around!
Solid but...
Solid course great on a hot deal but they need to figure out how to get some water and ice out on the course
Poor Condition very poor
Weeds in fairways around greens hardly any grass anywhere certainly not none on tee boxes. One of my favorite places to play for decades this is by far the worst I’ve seen it
