Zellwood Station & Country Club
About
A 238-yard par 3, a 259-yard par 4, a treacherous hole called the "Train Wreck" and a five-hole stretch around a cavernous dry lake dubbed "Crater Junction" all help make the semi-private Zellwood Station Golf Club unique. Featuring hilly terrain not often seen at Florida golf courses, the George Maddox design, which opened in 1974, is a challenge. Located about 30 minutes from Orlando, Zellwood Station G.C. is known to be in good shape, especially the greens.

Golfer Reviews
Interesting layout
The staff is friendly. The tees are a little rough looking. The greens are fast. Interesting layout.
Poor Greens
This course is amazing to play some of the only blind hills you will find in Florida so it is unique for the area. We are in our wet season and the greens are still hard packed sand and run like ice. It doesn’t matter how good your approach is if balls never slow down on the green. Little to no love has been given to the greens and honestly ruined our playthrough. Fix this and you have an amazing course
Great course
Always play here. Great course welcoming staff. We will be back.
Zellwood Station
The staff is friendly and the course is well maintained. It is not the easiest course to play, but plays fair enough.
Needs some work
The greens had grass but looked like they were punched awhile ago but never sanded so pretty bumpy and the tee boxes were all sand and uneven. The fairways were ok nothing to awful. The driving range seems very dangerous with tee boxes right behind you while hitting
Punched greens
I assume its due to a lack of hydration (rain/sprinklers) but the greens were still borderline unplayable 2.5 weeks after being punched. Discount or advance notice would have been cool.
Everything Punched
Everything was punched a couple days ago without any notification show up no discount rate no rainy day offer full price punched fairways punched greens. Glad they’re putting in the maintenance effort but extremely disappointed in the notification and having to pay full price.
Greens as hard as asphalt
Nice challenge course until you get to the greens. They were as hard as rock!
Course conditions
Course recently had aeration. Did not know this before I booked.
Could be a great course.
This course could be great if the tee boxes were leveled, and the fairways not so hard to hit on. I understand that we were in a drought. A course range is needed to pick up the pace of play. All in all a really good day.
Needs lots of love.
This course is in poor shape, fairways are washed out or no grass, greens are very poor conditions. Overall not a course you want to play now, maybe they can startup maintenance again.
Course Feedback
This course needs a lot of Tender Loving Care. The tee boxes are filled with weeds. The fairways are like hitting off of cement. This place needs a major facelift. Luckily, we paid only 25 dollars for 18 and a cart.
