Dos Osos Golf Club

I booked on tee off / golf now for $55 and when I arrived they said we do have affiliate with those platforms and the rate is $65. I showed my tee off receipt and still nothing. He said I need to contact tee off directly. The extra $10 would be fine if the course was in any shape to charge $65 but it wasn’t. Greens are the slowest in San Diego, the rough is neglected like I’ve never seen. Lost 2 balls in 16” weed grass just feet from the green. Tee boxes and fairways were OK. Proper mowing would go a long way to a better experience and feel out there. Spend the extra $ to play elsewhere until JC gets this place figured out.

Oh and the range was closed. Do better.

Fun layout and not TOO pricey. Conditions could always be better, but they’re working on it. Second time playing here. Overall, would still recommend and play again.

I love the peaceful quiet setting of this course. It meanders through some foothills and is just a very enjoyable experience while golfing. Every person I have dealt with on the staff have been the best. They do everything to assist their customers with their needs. The layout of this course is one of the best in the San Diego area IMO. I just really enjoy playing golf at Dos Osos. Thank you to the management for doing a great job.

Played around 1:30 PM late August; Fairways were dry, greens were tender but fast with lots of divots, and tee boxes were overgrown. Since I stacked points, with monthly tee credit, and summer promo, I paid $4, and I wouldn’t have paid for anything more.

The greens were dry, fast and SMOOTH! I’ll sweat out a gallon to get golf pass rates. 🤣

It's August and this course would once have been burned out long ago, but fairways had grass, greens were decent enough and we moved along nicely (4 hrs mid-week).

Definitely playing hot deal again. El Nino may take its toll, but we'll just have to see.

Overall course is in decent condition. Greens are showing signs of disease and drought. Fairways are in good shape as maintenance is underway. Fairways are better than in the spring, greens are worse than in the spring.

Absolutely no drinking water or beverage cart on course.

This course has so much potential, unfortunately the owners don’t put any money into this course at all. All but one tee box is nothing but sand. The fairways are covered with dead spots and the greens are covered in burn marks. If they actually put effort into maintaining this course it could be a good track but that’s far from the case. Very surprised the neighborhood this course is in hasn’t complained about the eyesore.

Course conditions are getting better. Nicely challenging fairways and greens. Nice staff. Good value.

Great course and getting better, pro shop personnel excellent, greens great and sand in bunkers. Great deal and place to play.

Carts have obscenely restrictive geo-fencing on them. Makes the so-called convenience of having them almost completely a moot point. Many holes are still cart path only, which is understandable as renovations continue but it means you may as well walk the course if it wasn't for the long distances between some of the holes. Hate that I paid what I did for the cart when I got as little out of it as I did, but that's the chief complaint really. Course is great by all other metrics and worth a visit with that caveat.

I love the layout of this course. It meanders through the surrounding hills and is in a very nice gated community. It is so quiet and peaceful in this area and that makes for a very relaxing round of golf. The course is not easy but not too difficult. A good test of your golf skills. Since JC took over they have restored the course and made it a must play course. I also appreciate the staff there that I have met and dealt with. Zeke and another young man that works the afternoons have been very accommodating. And even those who work as the starters have been very helpful. Just a very pleasant experience every time I go there. Wish I lived closer. Would play there more often.

5.5 hour round. 4 groups backed up at one point.

Course it self could be really fun if the fairways were watered better. Tee boxes were awful.

Randomly had a grounds keeper watering a green. On hole 13.

During the week there is little traffic. I probably could have been done in 2 1/2 hours if I wasn't occassionally hitting two balls or looking for my ball.

The relative value is definitely there.

This course is a hidden gem. But if you have a tee time at 9am, it should never take 5 1/2 hours to finish. That is 100% the course and its management team’s fault. The allege marshall just sat in his cart and watched as the pace got slower and slower. Hire a real Marshall. Go out, find the problem, tell them to pick up, and move on. I then as the Marshall follow them on each shot so they get the message. If they don’t like it, good. They won’t come back and ruin another day. But by not fixing it, you’ll cause the rest of us to STAY AWAY. Slow players, play somewhere else with you uneducated COVID etiquette
