Palmbrook Golf Club

We enjoyed playing the golf course and it being our first time. We weren’t sure what to expect. We ended up being paired up with a guy who’s played it quite a few times, and he assured us that despite the fact that the pace of play was very slow that it often times he is not like that. We will try it again. However, the pace of play was extremely slow, and we were surprised they did not have a course marshal to keep things moving along.

Palmbrook is in decent shape but not great. It’s cheaper to play due to the insane prices some of these courses play. For the price, it’s a solid deal.

However, the pace of play was maybe the worst I’ve ever played and I’ve had some long rounds. Our 18 took 5 hours to play with multiple groups waiting on several holes. Never once saw a ranger or employee.

Hilariously enough, they have a line on the back of their score card that says “slow players will be asked to leave the course”

Come here for a cheaper round with ok conditions, but be prepared for it to be a long long day

Great pace of play. Entire course in excellent shape

There is a lot to like about this course; greens, fairways, even the rough. My only comment is the bunkers need attention. The sand is very compact and needs fluffing up to give the player a chance at a decent shot. However; I really enjoyed my round yesterday and think this is the best of the Sun City courses.

Palmbrook is always in great shape. Nice overseed, fairways and green surrounds are awesome. My only complaint with the property is the speed of the greens. The practice green is fast and firm, the actual greens are very slow. Staff are great and course is good value

Conditions were very good… greens are very large and putted nicely. Speed around 9.5. Rough was full and manicured. Fairways very nice. We will definitely be back. Keep the price reasonable.

Haven’t played here in about 10-12 years and forgot how well maintained the course is.

We played Palmbrook on 04/07/2026 after not having been there in a while. Staff were friendly and the practice facilities excellent. Course in good shape and we enjoyed the layout. Water on the back 9 certainly comes into play!

Weather was hot and we were drinking plenty of water. Only disappointment on this course was that several of their water fountains were not working so we could not fill cup while out on the course. Otherwise we had a good experience.

Enjoyed the course, played poorly even for me but got better as the round progressed. Course is in good shape but a lot of play so pretty slow. Could be my expectation since most rounds here and there have been fast, under 3.5 hrs, but this round was 4.5 hrs. A side note, my experience was colored by playing with one guy who was oblivious to the courtesies of golfing. Why is it in AZ that golfers do NOT fix their pitch marks on the greens, so frustrating to have these huge divits to putt through?

Course was nice. Greens good. Bunkers playable. Good day.

Pace was very good until back half.

Caught up to players that started in the back half even though we had an early tee time and were moving at an average pace

Started 10 min past my tee time, waited on every shot after that. 4 hours and 40 min later I was done. Conditions were great though.

It's a very well laid out course. It's well maintained with good chipping, putting, and driving facilities. Highly recommend!
