About
The Sun City South Golf Course is normally a private club but during the summer months, public play is allowed. The course has a traditional layout with four sets of teeboxes for a variety of different golfing options, which allow golfers to work on a range of different handicaps. The golf course has a fair share of challenges with several sand bunkers and plenty of trees scattered throughout. There are also out-of-bounds stakes providing more difficulty. Water hazards come into play on some holes as well. The Sun City South Golf Course facility has a putting green and chipping area for golfers to use in addition to the course.

Easy, fun course
Really enjoyed this course, even though the fairways are rough we’re quite sparse. The greens were good though. The course is wide open so expect a good score!
Disappointed
On vacation in Phoenix have played numerous course over the years in the Sun City area never charged $20 for a cart not even in NY. Found the check in person to be rude and uncaring and not thrilled that we used golfnow. I would not play there again
This course was in good shape. Tee box and fairway in good shape. Pace of play was good. Met 3 new people, always a plus. Staff very nice and helpful. All in all you cant beat the price. I will definitely recommend it to friends.
Ranger
The ranger kept heckling us to hurry up when we had to wait at the tee box. He also said that we can’t share clubs halfway through the round and made us pay for rentals.
Good course: challenging but not brutal like others in the Valley
Course was fun. It is in good shape, with well maintained, very fast greens. Can be played very long and challenging from the tips or can be more forgiving and manageable from the forward tees. Be advised that with Golf Now be prepared to pay extra for the cart - it is not included in the fee. You have been warned.
Average less expensive course
The course is OK for inexpensive golf, but not much else. The course played slow because it was cart path only. The fairways are kind of thin but playable. The greens are hard packed and do not putt true. I guess you can run the ball up onto the green, but if you fly the ball there it bounces off. I am not a fan of hard packed greens. I heard that they will no longer allow groups of 5. I don't know if this is true, but it would be welcome as this always slowed down play.
Hot Deal on hot day
Greens and fairways in great shape. Pace of play was "take your time". Nobody else out there after 12:30.
