Azalea Sands Golf Course

Our foursome arrived 30 minutes early, were sent to the starter 20 minutes late.5-hour round. Greens were horrible, extremely slow.

This is a fun course with a great layout. The fairways were in very good condition, but the greens were very bumpy and very slow. The fringes looked like they were dying. I later learned that they had over fertilized and that’s what caused the problem. One thing that irritated us was when we made the turn, there were two new groups ahead of us. The twosome ahead of us said the starter told them to start on ten. One of the guys was just learning to play, so they let us go ahead of them. The group ahead of them was a foursome that was obviously new to the game. After waiting more than ten minutes to tee off, we just went around them. Everything was great after that. Upon finishing our round, we went to the bar for a drink and were served by the nicest lady you’d ever want to meet. She was the bartender you wish you could have waiting on you wherever you went. And I told her so.

The course overall was in good shape. The Pro Shop staff and Starter were very friendly.. The fairways are very generous and the greens are fairly large. There are numerous fairway and green side BUNKERS on the course which makes the course very challenging. The pace of play was great. I will definitely play this course again.

Played here this time last year (2025) and the course was in great shape. Unfortunately this year several greens were in rough condition and need some repair and work. Also hole 10 was a temporary green but that wasn’t mentioned upon booking or by the starter or any staff. When it’s in good shape it’s a great value for the money. In the condition it is in now I feel it definitely should’ve been a discounted rate but I would play here again in hopes the course is back in shape like it was in 2025.

Repair in progress for greens was explained. No reason not to brush in sand that was left in clumps on greens for 11 of 18 greens. No clear line to cup. Maintenance team did not care if you were lining up to hit a shot into green. Pulled up and parked with cart directly in my line started doing work. I wont be back too many better options.

Played here today absolutely the worst course played all greens were half grass and half dirt one hole total dirt green. Fairway horrible and tees not up to par. Should be paying maybe 20 dollars if that just sad

Course was in rough shape. Fairways and greens were hard and not very well maintained. Cart paths were awful. Staff wasn't friendly at all. Charged me about $20 more then what GN said it would be and had the attitude of too bad, that's what it is. Pace of play was not great. I've played the course several times, only because its close to the hotel. I doubt I will go back.

Decent course, did not realize you had to wear a collared shirt , I even looked on the website for rules. Was allowed to play , but it should have been posted.

First time playing in MB area and this was a great little course to knock off the rust . Greens were recently punched and needed some work but it was not a turnoff for me. Would definitely like to play again when’s greens are in better shape.

Greens are horrible, smell is awful, pace of play is slow, and fairways are garbage. Dont waste your money

Arrived at the course and the worker will call him Bill look at me like i had 19 eyes. I asked him if we could get a spectator card bill proceeds to charge $35 for a spectator card and was a complete douche bag next the starter looked at me like I never played golf before and was also a douche bag. I will not be back.
