About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Golfer Reviews
Nice course
The course is nice, tee boxes are mostly in good shape, fairways are in good condition, greens weren’t too bad. Would play the course again.
Tee boxes and fairways were great, the greens not so much. Every green had large patches that were dead or bare. It was very hard to have a putt roll smooth and true.
Good Challenge, Super Friendly Staff
This was my first time playing here. The course layout was a good challenge with multiple water hazards, dog legs, and trees lining the course, requiring more course management skills. Greens and fairways were well maintained, especially for later in the season, and sped up quite a bit as the course dried out from the morning dew. The staff were very friendly and offered up advice and insight to the playing the course. To top it all off, the price was very reasonable for 18 holes and a cart. Highly recommended and will definitely come play again when back in the area.
Nice value
The Course was a little rough around the tee box and greens but i expected that at this time of year. Pace of play was fair. We were a twosome following a foursome . Course was challenging for an old guy like me. Tight but fair. The best part of the day was the Staff. They were varey friendly and helpful. Great value for the area its in.
First Time Play
The staff was very friendly. The tee boxes and fairways were in great shape; the greens were not. I look forward to playing again when the greens are in better condition.
Nice layout and scenery BUT!
Course layout was great. Fairways were good for this time of year but the greens were horrendous. They were like putting on sand. I played to the green and then just picked up. The real problem I had was I bought 2 of the smaller gatorades at $3.00 each in the pro shop and then I was told they were going to be $4 if I use Apple Pay. Seriously! I understand a 3% up charge for use of electronic funds and processing fee’s but a $1.00 more. I won’t be back the next time I visit MB.
Not bad for $60
Nice little course. Greens didn't hold high mid iron shots. Nice fairways! Great staff!
Ask about the greens
The greens were gone. Fairways OK, layout OK, not much grass on the greens. All of them.
Nice layout
I like the layout of the course, good test of your game. ,small greens . But the greens were really bad
Burnt grreens
Have played and enjoyed this course many times over the years. Unfortunately their irrigation system blew up a week ago and they greens were burnt up. They were brown and hard as concrete. Shots into the green would not hold and bounced of the back. I don't know if getting the water back on will Dave them.
