TPC Myrtle Beach
About
TPC Myrtle Beach, designed by Tom Fazio with assistance from Lanny Wadkins, opened in 1999 as the Grand Strand's 100th golf course.
Set south of Myrtle Beach in Murrells Inlet, the golf course features an abundance of bird life and natural wetlands, which come into play on 11 holes and pine trees frame many of the holes. Tom Watson proclaimed TPC Myrtle Beach an "interesting challenge and a quiet walk in nature."

Not what I expected
I want to start by saying the staff was fantastic to deal with. They were so helpful and welcoming!
The course, however, was not what I expected for an almost $200 round. Most of the cart paths where under construction and we couldn't ride on most fairways, so it made it difficult to navigate. The course was very wet and really hindered play in some spots. The bunkers were not fun to play out of, probably due to the recent rain. I envisioned beautiful white fluffy bunkers, but it was more like hard packed mud. I also thought that fairways and greens would be pristine being a TPC course, but they were not. The practice facilities were great to warm up on, and again, the staff was great.
Great course. Bring your AGame
Great course . Challenge as aspect. If it is a cart path only day be prepared have golfers on top of you and in front. Get snacked up pretty quick. Great range. Friendly staff. Grill had small menu selection. Overall. Great Course.
TPC - okay
TPC is billed as a top tier Myrtle Beach destination but only average compared to other courses in the same price range. The day we played the cup area on many of the greens were damaged or bulged out at the cup. Plus side super friendly staff and pace of play was good.
Nice place to play.
Very nice place to play biggest issue we had is during the middle of playing our 18 apparently was maintenance day. So having to hit around grass cruise, put for par with lawnmower trimming around the green.
It would’ve been amazing to play without all the interference on the last eight holes.
Bad conditions for full price
Finished up round to find out they will be closing the following week to aerate and re-seed, would have expected a discounted rate for how poor the course conditions were
Great Course
Great course, glad to have played here. Spots could have been better but nothing to complain about.
Course is in HORRIBLE condition.
No grass on fairways.. alge everwhere.. dead grass, greens are totally dried out. Please check latest google reviews on this course . Their excuse is too much rain.. BUT other courses in Myrtle are in fantastic shape (Tidewater for example)
Awesome Experience
The round was amazing. From the interaction at bag drop, to the clubhouse, to the practice range, to the starter. Everyone was extremely friendly, inviting and knowledgeable. A bit overwhelming as I’ve never played a course of this caliber, but staff all made it seem like just another round of golf. The course was in pretty good shape. Greens were not as fast as I was expecting. Fairways were firm and good rollout. Many beautiful picturesque holes. Off-season price was not bad at all especially leading into Father’s Day weekend. Those cold towels at the end of the round were icing on the cake. I hope to be back next year with some friends.
Good course but a little overpriced
Great layout and excellent amenities, like the range….. however pace of play was not great (5 hours, 20 minutes) and overall conditions were ok ( wasn’t due to heavy rain the day before) . So for $185, i probably wouldn’t play here again unfortunately. Staff was great!!!
