ChampionsGate Golf Club - International

This review is kind off hard, it’s hard to point out what was off and why so only give it 3 stars. Still here we go. I found the course maintenance lacking, it had multiple areas where it was minimal to little love put into the course. It seems to me it lives on in he name. The layout is challenging and narrow. Not for big inners at all. Even tough hitting 79 (HC 7) from whites I had hard time enjoying it with my group. Greens are okay but a bit all over. As well, speed off play was slow and we never saw the Marshall pushing anyone. (And we had 8ish tee time). What I really did not like is the price of drinks and food. I had a very mediocre Breakfast burrito and a sprite that costed me 40 (yes 40) usd with a tip. A double shot and a sprite costed also 40$… this is crazy.

With all the options in this area I will not be coming back. To tight, to expensive, and lack of care.

Greens in great shape. Fairways and tee boxes in pretty good shape. Just patchy different grasses in spots. Bunkers are hit or miss. Getting old. A lot of them for sure but aren’t as fresh as you’d expect at a course like this. Fees this time of year (Hot!) are very good compared to peak season over the winter. Staff here is as good as it gets friendly wise. Been playing here for 20 years easily and I’ll keep doing so.

All I can say is this was one of the best experiences I’ve had in Florida! The golf course was great, the staff were excellent and I will come back for more!!

I wanted to take my girlfriend to play golf a really good golf course. This is the golf course I chose!

I’ve heard some good things about it and now I know that they’re all true!

From the moment we walked in until we left I can’t say enough about how gracious kind and attentive. Everyone in the whole place was!

It’s one thing when you go to a golf course and you like it and you have a good time; but it’s another thing when you walk away feeling like you made friends with all the people that worked there!

So my congratulations to one of the best staff places I’ve ever been to!

Now for the Golf!!!… I love golf. I love that golf course it was challenging and there’s one thing that I always respect about a golf course is that it made me hit a lot of different clubs today!

And the best thing about the whole day was my girlfriend had a great time and she wants to go back so kudos to everyone there and thank you for delivering one of the best experiences I’ve had in Florida!

My favorite course in Orlando. Very challenging everything was in really great shape.

Great course we played international course it was challenging but it was fun . Bring extra balls !!! Course condition for this time of year was very good well kept greens .

A links style course with plenty of challenge but very fun to play. It’s a bit harder than the National course on the same property but worth playing. Its also has a very nice range and putting area and a good restaurant!

I didn’t think I had played this course before but as we were playing I recognized some holes and realized I did play it years ago. I did enjoy playing here but it is expensive. The course was in excellent shape. The guys I got paired up with wanted to play the Blue/White tees and they come in over 6,500 yards which normally is out of my league but I was a single and didn’t want to slow anyone down by playing up a tee. It was actually really good as the course didn’t play that long for some reason except for the first hole. That first hole

Is a long one with an elevated green so it makes it quite tough to score well out of the gate. The only reason I didn’t give this a five star is the fairway bunkers or waste areas seemed to have a lot of collapsed sides and naturally that is where my ball ended up. So you can tell the bunkers weren’t shaped like that but have collapsed due to either erosion or something else. Also there are some forced layups and hidden penalty areas that only someone who had played the course prior would know about. I could have also spent more time looking at the GPS in the cart so that is solely on me but most courses don’t really require that much studying. The greens were very well maintained and were very fast. I was also able to see a gator sticking its head out of the water right near the cart path so that was very cool. I am looking forward to playing the National course as I know I have played that before but don’t remember it at all.

It had been years since I played this course -- and it was a treat to play it again. Overall, the course conditions were good, my only gripe was that the greens were a bit slow, but they are healthy and roll true.

They did have course marshalls on the course, and I think they made some attempts to speed up the pace of play - I finished in 4:40 which is too long for my liking. At worst, I think it should be 4 hours 15 mins. Staff was courteous.

As far as the price -- I knew what I was getting into as this is definitely a more expensive round of golf. For this time of year certainly. I think it's like 25% overpriced, but I do enjoy it and I'll be back during the summer when the prices go down.

This is a really good golf course. Well maintained though green could probably do with a little work albeit they are rolling quite well. Pricey and unsure if it matches some of the other courses in the same price bracket.

What an amazing course! Great condition, great layout, tee boxes, fairways, and greens in great shape! This is probably my favorite course in Florida that I have played.

Was able to get off right on time and pace of play was fantastic!! The greens were fast and smooth and fairways were in real good shape! I thought the layout and design were challenging but fair if you hit good shots! I'll definitely play here again on my next visit to Orlando!

The course is well kept during hot summer days. The greens are in excellent shape and have a good speed. It's always fun to play here. The balls are easily lost if they land on the edges of the course. Hit your ball straight and to the center of the greens. HaHa!
