Somewhat tight layout. Some of the greens were pretty bad. A lot of sand replacing the grass on the greens.

The course layout is made to make it more difficult.

Tee boxes are not in good shape, some are just sand boxes.

Green is even worse. Patches all over with sandy spots no matter where you land!

Fairways and rough are kind of blended mix.

Fairway is rock hard, difficult to have a good iron/wedge shot. Also some parts of fairways are so bumpy and rough.

Had a fun day with a friend even with very poor course conditions. They do not have a range, they have a couple hitting mats and a netted cage to hit into which is better than nothing. The practice green was only half open as it looks like they are trying to repair it.

Once on course its hard to ignore the terrible conditions of the tee boxes, the fairways and the greens. I landed in one bunker and it played okay so that was a plus. The course layout is pretty basic, there are however a couple challenging holes that dog leg right that were fun. The course has abbreviated cart paths and once off path its a rough ride.

All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. They know what they got out there and try to at least help you enjoy it as is.

Extremely friendly staff that was welcoming from the start. The course is in overall good condition, they clearly put the effort in and have done well considering a year long drought. I look forward to returning in the future.

I read the reviews after scheduling my tee time and almost decided to cancel because of the low recent ratings. I was glad I didn’t. All the tee boxes were in very good condition - no bare spots. Some greens had some weather damage, but maintenance had addressed the spots with fertilizer and sand. The flag placements, in general, avoided these spots. The fairways have been punched and all were a colorful green. With more rain and cooler temperatures, they will be closer to lush than some comments described as bare. For the price, this course is more than in playable condition. I would recommend playing it.

Three years ago Tampa redid every green for over $3M. Now, the greens are bare, rotted out like there is no greenskeeper on staff. the fairways were weeds, and most of the tee boxes are sand pits.

I have played this course off and on for over 30 years and was always a fun round. We had nobody on course at 1Pm on sunday, football and weather threat, so pace was great but the this course conditions are embarassing.

The course has never been great but now it is embarrassing. Golf now should remove this course from its website. Also, be aware there are some temporary greens which are a complete joke. Golf now should have warned of the greens issue.

This course has spent the last 2 years fixing their greens for their greens to be the worst I've ever seen I can play at countryway for 18 dollars for 18 holes and their greens are by far better. Charging 45 dollars for this course is a disgrace to the game and disrespectful to the patrons

Great course difficult layout fun and challenging will be back when they are finished with summer maintenance

Please take my review as the truth its HORRIBLE and i will not be back. 1 star is being very generous. The greens are terrible and patches everywhere they say we're working on it

The staff was amazingly nice. First off they have no driving range. Second the putting green was unusable. I was hoping that the greens on the course would be nicer. Unfortunately, they were not much better. Honestly they should give every person that plays a temporary hitting mat they can bring with them because trying to find a decent lie in the fairway that isn’t mostly dirt was hard. They are so enthralled with the fact that the course has been there for a 100 years I would have thought they would put more time and effort into the conditions of the course. I wanted to love this course but even for $40 I was not happy with the course.

The front nine holes are still very bad but they are working on it. Back nine greens are much improved and its a fine layout . Short yardage but a very good test of all your skills. Most likely to return and check on the front nine.

Another great golf day. Good layout, challenging,. Will play again soon.

I only played 8 holes because we were in thunder and lightning in the area but the course is in HORRIBLE shape one of the worst in the Tampa Bay area. 1 star beat up patchy greens sand everywhere around the greens hard packed sand in the traps. A very nice layout but i dont think i will be back

The fairways and greens are in really bad shape. I used to play this course in the late 70s and early 80s and it was a fantastic course. I have not played it for the last decade and the course is really gone downhill.
