About
Located just 20 minutes from downtown in the Forest Hills section of Tampa, Babe Zaharias Golf Course meanders through a tree-lined residential neighborhood. The golf course measures a modest 6,020 yards, but should not be taken lightly. Although both nines on "The Babe" are par 35, the back side sports four par-4 holes in excess of 400 yards, providing a challenge for golfers of all skill levels.

Terrible condition
Greens are acceptable for a muni. But the fairway and tee boxes are abysmal - weeds and dirt, zero actual grass. Weekday afternoon for $49 is a joke. The layout would be fun if they maintained this place at all.
City of Tampa needs to step up.
First Time
Greens were fine. Staff was very friendly. Fairways were sand and very dry. Narrow, shorter course, but interesting layout.
Poor fairways and tee boxes
The tee boxes are terrible. The fairways only have grass in the landing zone, go I hope your accurate off the tee. I wish the conditions were poor because of the drought, they are not much better in the rainy as season.
Course was fun to play but if it wasn’t on a hot deal wouldn’t pay the $ to play there. Everyone was super friendly, food at club house is ok but slow even when called order in on hole 9 to pick up it still wasn’t ready.
BABE
The course is in really rough shape some very good holes that are a challenge. Short yardage, but you have to hit your correct spots. all of the water hazards are dried up most greens are horrible. I played this course 15 years ago and it was way better a real bummer. Fairways and around the greens dirt and sand all over a mess. 1 out of 5 stars for me will not return.
Has its pros and cons
Although the course was not in good condition with fairways lacking grass, I did wind up using every club in my bag.
the people at the Babe were Great! The golf Course was in really bad shape because with was so parched greens were less than average. It needs help. I remember when one looked forward to playing the Babe...Now ?

Fairways could use some work. For the most part greens were fine. Great pace of play.
Needs a lot of work
This used to be a nice course….it seems there is no maintenance being done …..fairways & greens were in very bad shape….definitely not worth the. Only being charged.
Great course for the price.
Course was in great condition. Layout was fun. Greens did have some rough spots but it’s early in the season. The staff in the clubhouse and restaurant were fantastic. Very much a local muni but everyone was super nice. Highly recommend for the price.
Zaharia's is a Fun Track
Staff was the best!
Helped in every eay to make play on their course enjoyable.
Course had remarkably good fairways and greens with very little rain.
