Just north of the Jacksonville Airport, Fernandina Beach Golf Club offers three 18-hole courses that are conveniently located within distance of both Jacksonville and the beach. There are three distinct nines at the club that create three different 18-hole combinations. The West/South combination is the tournament course at Fernandina Beach Golf Club. The West nine is long and there is a challenging par-5 that is one of the most difficult on the golf course. The South nine features an abundance of trees and water hazards, putting a heavier emphasis on accuracy rather than distance in scoring well. The golf course is also considered a perfect example of scenic Florida golf with native foliage and wildlife throughout.

Always descent

Course is in descent shape. Greens had some issues but they rolled ok. Course is always in descent shape but never excellent shape but never rough. Just always in descent shape. May be a little pricey for the average conditions but playing in Amelia island is always more expensive.

A good course for a change of pace

First, staff was very helpful and friendly. And club house is very nice and looks comfy. Second the course pace of play was really good we finished in less than 4hrs. The conditions are adequate except for the greens. They have what looks like small divots and small plugs of weeds scattered about. I am sure the course sup is well aware of these issues. Lastly, I might come back when the price is dropped about $15.

Not bad for a public course. Easy design with wide open fairways. Greens are a bit rough but not bad. $50 course at best.

South/west

Enjoyed South/west course more so than North/west. C

Convenient course on Island. If just starting season it’s great for warm up. Much cheaper than Amelia River, which is nice. I

Worst tee boxes ive seen

Worst tea boxes I’ve seen in a while, barely any grass very sandy . No flat level spot to tee off . Either below or above your feet . Very bad way to start each hole. Just over all disappointment

Disappointed

Tee boxes were sandy trash , not a single flat spot to tee up . You had to either tee it up below your feet or above your feet, rough way to start each hole, course conditions have been alot better in the past! Fair way was decent , the rough was like playing out of sand instead of rough. Greens do not have a fringe. out of my last 20 outings this year this was my least favorite so far. I enjoyed it better in the past

Nice Course

This is a three nine hole course. We played the west and south course. Upon arrival the staff were really helpful and nice. The practice facility was great. I loved the layout of each course, can be challenging but very manageable. Be aware that there are a lot of trees. The courses were in really good condition for this time of year. Greens were really fast. We paid $49 through golf now and I feel that it was definitely worth it. Look forward to going back and playing the north course next time.

Terrible condition!

They should be embarrassed at the condition of the greens

And the fairways were almost as bad.

Need to Rename Course to Plantation Oaks

Played the North and West courses. Many holes have large oak tree limbs hanging out over the fairways and tee boxes. Course needs some serious tree trimming but likely won't happen due to oak trees are over 200 years old.

I likley will not play this course again and IMO not worth the cost to play it.
