Piankatank River Golf Club

Course was in great shape. The course is hilly on the front 9 while the back 9 is more flat. Best of both worlds in terms of challenges. The course is very likable

First off, the workers here are top class, and very helpful and I want to thank them for being very professional. I went on a Tuesdays around 11 which is not the best time to go because of their men leagues so the course was packed which made the pace of play a bit slower but not awfully slow. There were 3 groups starting their league at the same time as my tee time was scheduled. Pace of play 3.8/5 I arrived about a hour early and utilized the driving range which I would give a 4.2/5. They could use some shaded areas over there especially during the hotter days. The front 9 packed a punch being very hilly compared to the back 9 which is more flat and leads out to the river, giving some amazing views. It was probably the most challenging course I’ve played with several doglegs, a split ravine, and plenty of nice water shots. Overall I’d give the course, facilities, staff, and playing experience a 4.7/5. Would love to come play it again on a more less busy day of the week.

All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The layout of the course is really good. You could challenge for birdie on almost every hole, but be looking at double-bogey if too aggressive. Lots of undulations to the fairways, and while the greens are pretty shallow, the roll was true. Highly recommend for the price!

Layout is very fun and challenging especially if the pins are in tough positions. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, always love playing this course.

Place looked great, had a blast, course was beautiful, greens were sharp. Guys in pro shop were very kind and helpful. 10/10 experience.

This is a hidden jewel and such a great value for the money. The staff is absolutely the best - friendly and helpful. I would recommend this course highly for any in the area.

Serves a massive area without other courses near, extremely busy, management seems to have no interest in enforcing pace of play, 5.5hr average round
