Myrtle Beach Golf
Was disappointed in the condition of the course. Very dry with poor conditions throughout the course. Fifteenth green had a 20 foot section of turf redone that looks like it’s struggling to take. Reviews did. Ot match the conditions and the waiting on every hole was a round killer. 17 had a back up of 4 groups to play the hole at 6:45 in the evening.
Avg course for avg golfer
Nice course for average golfer. Price is good value, get your monies worth.
Good course
Varied and challenging layout. Late March, not much rain so farways and tees thin. Greens very good. Good course convenient to airport and MB beachside lodging.
Whisper
The course was very dry
Greens were okay and fairly smooth but the fairways were parched
Sometimes to the point that the grass was gone or dying
Whispering Pines
Corse was in overall good shape. The staff was super friendly and very inviting. They did some renovations but the fairways and greens still have a long way to go.
No issues
Reasonable course at a reasonable price. Nice layout and no real issues. Will play again in the future
Definitely Spring Turf!
We had a challenging round with near bare ground in some fairways. Greens were very fast. Only lost one ball which was a victory given all the water on the course!
Very nice day
Whispering pines was a pretty nice course and a decent value for the myrtle Beach area. It was early morning w the dew on the ground so the greens were much better than the time I played earlier in the week. The greens were stupid fast and hard that day. I think they might have just rolled them.
Endless
We were paired with two other gentlemen for the round. They were marvelous. This round would have been a total train wreck without their humor and mutual commiseration. The fairways were generally okay, not great. The greens were another story. The starter chuckled and related that the speed of and the layout of the greens were "challenging". I am not a great putter but my wife pretty.good..
It was not even fun from a misery standpoint. The two others faired no better. Never again.
It was an "OK" course
very closely cropped fairways
some pin placements were really not fair' an example: one green I had a 12' putt uphill. the ball went 2" past the hole and then rolled back 25' completely off the green.
sand traps were well maintained
Interesting layout
The fairways were late winter conditions but the layout was very interesting. The greens were the fastest we played from 3/3 to 3/7...I have been to Myrtle beach and had never played this forgotten gem...
Good course
I know it's still early for great golf conditions, but course was fairly great shape.
Stay away for a while
Recently rolled and pin aerated, greens are as staff said "slick". Uphill putts short come back further away than they started. Good luck if you are above the pin.
Greens did not hold at all. Hit some of my best approach irons to front/ middle of green only to find ball behind the green.
If any benefit, tee shots and long shots rolled forever.
I love this course but give it some time for thr greens to recover.
