The fourth hole on Arrowhead's Cypress nine is one of the more interesting holes on the property. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 11/07/2018

Great time playing with son
The course isn’t overly long. You have to choose ball placement to attack the greens. I’d play the 4 iron off the tee more if I played again.
Excellent course Excellet Staff
Course was top notch! I enjoyed it got paired with a Marshall there named Jon and enjoyed it a lot! Will definitely be back and will be highly recommended to people I know!
Pleasant Surprise
On vacation looking for a nice, but not overly expensive course, and landed on this gem. I was down to two choices and the "Hot Deal" pricing pushed Arrowhead to the top. Very glad it worked out.
First impression was good with a very nice staff member greeting me, taking my clubs and leading me to the golf shop. Next stop was the driving range which was ok but grass in the hitting area needed some work. However, balls included at no extra cost so big plus there.
Got paired up with two very nice guys and played Lakes first. Very good condition although speed of greens (fast) didn't match putting green (slower). Fairways and tee boxes in excellent condition.
Ok, one "gripe". The two guys I played with (just met them) were very nice but started drinking quite a bit. Didn't bother me and they were still pleasant, but their pace of play dipped considerably and the group(s) behind us seemed a tad unhappy. I did what I could but I think it would help if the course had someone drive around and check on pace of play. I tried, but very awkward since they were members and I was a visitor.
One last (very minor) gripe: it would be a nice touch to put "tees" in the golf carts. Just sayin'.
Again, all in all an interesting layout and a playable course in very good condition. I would happily play it again.
Challenge
First time playing this course. 27 holes we played the cypress and the lake nines . Cypress was very tough not knowing the layout . Lake side much more forgiving and would have preferred to start on that nine and finish on cypress. Course in fine condition a few greens need some work but overall good for the area. Will play again.
Fyi I think there was water on every hole lol
Nice course
Nice course in very good condition but not worth $109.00. Myrtle beach prices are getting way too high.
My new favourite course
I have played about 6 different courses in the area the last couple of weeks. This is by far my favourite. It’s in the best condition, great pace of play and love the layout. It’s also the first course I have been to that doesn’t charge for the driving range. They also have a special deal of you paid the regular rate, you get more rounds the same week for 59.00. I booked 3 more rounds this week.
Your Bathrooms are horendous, but you know that!
The course is beautiful, but the bathrooms in the clubhouse and on the course are the worst I've seen in a golf facility anywhere!! The club should be embarassed. They not only smell, but the plumbing is beyond antiquated. Does this mess transfer to the kitchen? One would think it's possible.
First Timer in Myrtle Beach
I was here for work but had a day to play, and this course was recommended multiple times by my hotel and Carolina Roadhouse bartender. I was very happy with the teetime and cost, plus the course is in really good shape. Lots of water, but fair if you control your ball off the tee and some approaches on Par 5's. I really liked the variety of different holes and none felt like repeats. I would play this course again.
The Course is in great shape now.
The course is in excellent shape. The greens are unblemished. The fairways are green and lush. Unfortunately there are lots of unrepaired divots. The course is pretty narrow in places with lots of trees on the edges and some ponds.
Beautiful
This course was well maintained and a perfect challenge for a normal golfer.
Arrowhead (Cypress and Waterway)
I played the Cypress and Waterway courses at Arrowhead country club with friends, on 11/02/2025 & 11/07/2025. Both courses have a great mix of doglegs, short-par fours and par fives that make you hit three solid shots to have a chance at bridie. Every aspect of both courses was fantastic. The greens rolled true and had some decent speed to them. The fairways were plush. The entire course was visually appealing, and you very seldom see another hole on the course. The entire staff from the bag drop, to the restaurant, to the pro shop were extremely nice and professional. The only issue we had was we booked through a third party, and wanted to play each nine at least once, but due to maintenance issues we had to play Waterway and Cypress both days. It was not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to play the lakes course. I guess we will need to come back, LOL.
Mediocre Course
These reviews are a bit inflated from other golfers. Its honestly just another me too out on the strand. Its more of a tier B style course (e.g. tier 1 is Heritage, Glen Dornoch, True Blue, etc.). Grounds are good but not great. I would pass on this course even with my 4 start review. I think theres better in central Myrtle for the costs.
Great Course
The course is in great shape and the staff very friendly. The layout is tight, but if you play from the correct tee box you will enjoy your round. I only lost 2 balls playing from the white tees. If I had played from the blue tees the round would not have been so much fun. :)
Tough
Course in good shape. Many holes placement golf tee shots with no let up in easiness. Played cypress which is difficult and lakes which is a little easier. Worth a try.
