About
Gripping it and ripping it may be in vogue, but course architect team Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt are not going to let that be the extend of your strategy at Siena Golf Club.
This Las Vegas course is about shot-making more than bombing away. Siena's 97 pot bunkers are arranged to force frequent strategic decisions. Sometimes discretion is the better part of scorecard valor at Siena.
Hooking the ball every which way is paid for dearly at Siena. It's best to go with the clubs you can hit reasonably straight and give up a little distance.
Views of the surrounding mountains are complemented by six different water bodies, including Lake Siena. You'll be strategizing in some striking scenery.
"I don't think you'll come away impressed with this course," marketing director Mick Toscano said. "I think you'll come away awestruck."

Golfer Reviews
bait and switch
I called the Friday prior to making a tee time on a Monday afternoon. I was told the course tee sheet was wide open for Monday afternoon and that the rate is $70. When I arrived to check in for my 1:06 tee time I was told the rate is $80. Siena and Arroyo do dynamic pricing which I feel is a ripoff. I can understand their reasoning during the winter when tee times are limited, but to raise the rate in the summer when they literally only have about 10 golfers on the course is ridiculous. I told the guy at the front desk that if they want to do dynamic pricing I should be able to offer $20 to $50 to play. He said they can't do that. Therefore, it is only dynamic in their favor.
Siena in the summer afternoon is a $50 course at best
Charging $275 for non resident
My brother lives her half the year and cannot get IDs in two states. I booked the time for resident rate paid for both demanded to see both IDs I explained that he lives here in winter only and Ohio in the summer.
That has never happened on any course I’ve played in Vegas and that would be dozens. I feel if you’re a resident and bring a guest they should get the rate. I’ll just mark Siena off my list. Course doesn’t warrant $275.
Bait and switch
I was put off right away. I called on a Friday prior to my Monday round. When I called to book my tee time for Monday at 1:06 I was told that the tee sheet was wide open and my rate is $70. When I arrived on Monday to check in I was told the the rate is $80. I asked if the tee sheet was wide open and he said yes. Siena does dynamic pricing which I think should not be allowed. I realize that in the winter months they can raise the rates because the tee times are limited. If that is the case I should be able to go there in the heat of the summer and negotiate a rate that is in my favor. Let’s say $50.
Do better Siena!
Course was decent, Need new management
Simple as, the guy running the show at the time was way in over his head and extremely rude to several golfers checking in, maybe trying hiring more staff and not be so tight on margins??
Support your manager!
Unfriendly check in staff
The young checkin staff working the morning of July 4th was incredibly rude and unfriendly.. it really soured my overall experience of the course. English is not my first language and when I asked him to speak a little slower so I could understand better, he responded by yelling and being curt. The course itself was fine but feels standard for Las Vegas. I will say the starter was much friendlier and explained the course layout when I told him it was my first time here. I golf 5-6x/week every week and golf in Vegas maybe 15-20 days out of the year and its hard to decide to return here or recommend others after my experience, especially when there are many similar courses for better prices.
Great Time
Course conditions are great, layout very good, the sand traps are crushed rock, which takes some time getting used too. Pace of play was 4 1/2 hours. Drinking Water on every other hole on the front nine no drinking water water on the back nine which was strange. Would definitely recommend this course.
Bad management
Played here several times. Customer service isn’t a priority anymore with this management. Prioritize policies and politics over customer/player experience. Non-locals get better treatment and pricing, careful with being a half a hole behind because they release the hounds on you, and better not let life get in the way within 48 hours because you’ll pay; something that’s never happened to me at any other course. Only here.
This is my first time playing this golf course as I’ve been to multiple courses in the greater Las Vegas area. The staff were fantastic. The course conditions were perfect, except for bunkers, which were thin and hard packed. The course value for the area and course layout was challenging, but fun. When I come back, it will definitely be at the top of my list.
A must play when in Vegas
This course is challenging and rewarding. Fast greens and thick rough. Keep it in the short grass
Siena is a great local value!
First time playing this course. We really enjoyed the layout and the course conditions were great!
!st Tie
Course was in great condition. Not many surprises such as doglegs or hidden target lines. Sand was a disappointment as there was none. The local I played with explained the wind blows the thin sand away which makes it gravelly to play from.
A GPS on cart is always great, a Cart GPS that points to daily flag changes makes a huge difference to a low handicapper.
Club rentals were good being a Callaway elyte set. However i had a horrible mallet putter that felt like 50 years old. Caused me 5 x 3 putts as a low handicapper with a final score of 79 those 5 x 3 putts were not fun to record.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone my 2nd round will be a certain improvement.
Pleasant surprise
The staff here were so friendly. The course was in great shape. The holes had variety. We played in less than 4 hours with an early tee time.
TThis is a great course but the pace of play is notoriously slow
Fantastic course, great layout, staff is very friendly, worth $100 or less but the one thing that you will definitely find out about this course is that the pace of play can be very slow at times and I didn't see any Marshalls out there trying to motivate people. I know it's a semi-private club so they're trying to not irritate the members but better to irritate a few slow people then irritate everybody
