Good. Not great.
Interesting course. Short but no forgiveness off the fairways. Huge elevation changes. Greens far exceeded expectations and rolled true but slowish. Fairways were decent but ground was hard. Some tee boxes were awful, but that was the minority. Overall a track worth playing at the price point they offer. Staff was great!
Love the layout
I always enjoy playing Forest Greens because of the layout. Plenty of doglegs, and elevation changes. Course is in good shape, especially the greens. Bunkers have nice white sand. Fairways can sometimes need a lot of warm weather to fill in (Bermuda Grass). They were very acceptable for my round. Staff is very nice. Overall a great golfing experience.
Great course, very good condition
Really enjoyed Forest Greens and it was a good value. A few tee boxes needed help but beyond that really great condition. A few blind shot holes that could use a bell as well. But overall very enjoyable, staff was friendly and the pace was good for a busy Thursday morning.
good value for the money
It is a good value for the money. You will get some people with little golf etiquette ( hitting the ball behind you too soon ), I think, because it is reasonably priced
Great day
This course is a beautiful laid out course. The course is all hills and has a high slope rating making it very challenging for beginners. It is not a flat course. Pace of play was good although we did have one twosome decide to go ahead of us on hole 13 and we ended up waiting for them to tee of on 15 because there was another group still playing 14. We finished our round in 4hr and 30mins. The tee boxes I felt need a little more TLC, fairways and greens were in good condition. Value for the round was great!
Excellent Experience!!
Forest Green is one of two Prince William County Courses and for a public course is in excellent condition, with a degree of difficulty that will challenge any experienced player, yet not frustrate a high-handicapper. A perfect mix.
Great Value
Good price, friendly staff, quiet even with a decent amount of players around.
Nice Course and Layout!
I will definitely be playing this course again. Love the challenging holes and just all around course.
Winter like conditions
Lovely course but the course is not playing great. The fairways are still like in winter mode with lots of gaps in grass coverage. Greens ok but also still getting over winter. The course is very dry. Upside is the staff, who are great.
Slight improvements but…
I’m a longtime player of Forest greens. They have improved their bunkers with white sand. tee boxes are good. Greens are usually good but my main sticking point as always been for years is the conditions of the fairways they never seem to get those right they are always hard patchy and a lot of dirt spots barely even any grass. If that is corrected then it will be an awesome 4 to 5 star course.
