Lots of hidden from view water on most holes. Needs a second play to score

Course is great and has great potential; but staff is horrible and so are their policies

Fairways and greens were in really good shape. There were quite a few bare spots/dirt around a number of greens. Some of the tee boxes also needed some TLC. A bit pricey. With that said, I enjoy the course when I play there. Some of the holes are really challenging. I have a love/hate relationship with 7 and 18 in particular. It was a great time playing with friends and I had one of my best rounds in a long time.

What a dog track this place is. Nice layout but the course was in terrible shape when I played it; tees were mud or covered with crabgrass; greens were just aerated and terrible (they still charged the full $75); starter and pro shop guys were rude; pave of play was excruciating, 5+ hours and never a marshal in site. Truly awful. Steer clear.

I've played Bristow Manor 3 times this year and generally have a decent enough experience there. The course is in good shape, the zoysia fairways are in great shape and the ball sits up nicely. The greens roll true with the only exception being my visit on 9/17 where they were punched 3 days prior. The practice green was punched the week prior and was already fully healed. Tee boxes leave a little to be desired. Some are full of crabgrass and on others (9 specifically) it's hard to find a level spot to tee up.

Where the course can greatly improve on is with customer service. I've had times where I've booked on Golf Now and the time that is on my receipt for the starter after checking in is 10-20 minutes later than when I initially booked. Not a huge deal but annoying when in a rush. The old man working as starter could not be on more of a power trip. Even after showing him your receipt, you can't take your cart to the parking lot to load up your clubs, you have to haul them up yourselves. Also, in my most recent round, I arrived 30 minutes prior to my tee time and not a single person teed off before me on the first hole. My entire foursome was ready 10 minutes prior and he still wouldn't give us our cart keys until the minute it was our scheduled tee time. Maybe because we booked through GolfNow and got a cheaper rate than they charge and they treat you like 2nd class citizens or he just likes to inconvenience people. Either way, it starts the round off on a bad note.

I have played this course a few time. The course was not in the best of shapes. Tee boxes, rough were in really bad shape. Most of the fairways and greens were OK.

Rough was very uneven.

As a senior golfer, I would really appreciate it if they had senior tees- somewhere between the silver tees(5196 yards) and the black tees (6313). It would also be nice if their tees were the conventional colors of red, white, blue and black.

Having said my grievances, the course was in great shape and I’m not sure why more golfers were not taking advantage of the good weather.

You can always count on Bristow to have beautiful greens and fairways. I was surprised to find the bunkers with soft/raked sand/dirt. They were a joy to hit out of - a big change from the hard packed dirt I normally experienced. Many tee boxes need some TLC. The pro shop folks were very cordial and professional. I gave pace of play only 3 stars for one reason: On the 6th hole I caught up to a foursome of older men, like myself (73 yrs old). They were playing extremely slow. They didn’t invite me to play through, so I hung back. Finally, when they were on the 7th green, I picked up my ball in the fairway and rode up to them asking if they had anyone in front of them. They replied”no”. I told them I was going to jump up to the 9th tee. They said “that’s fine! I never saw another golfer in front of me until I caught up to a twosome on the 17th hole. I always let faster folks play through, whether playing alone or with others!

Don’t play here unless you want to get accosted by the general manager. I’ve never had such an unpleasant experience with course staff. Completely unprofessional, course is not in great shape. Multiple greens have dead patches. Save your money and play somewhere else

Aggressive GM kicked me off the range for hitting leftover range balls. Swore at me about the economics. Will not be returning.

Played on aSunday early afternoon and the course was basically wide open- which was kind of shocking as it was a beautiful day. I’m thinking the price scared a lot of people off as it was over $100. But overall, the course was in great shape. The staff was very friendly and the greens were in very good condition.

This golf course raised its prices, and although they provided water, the facilities are in poor shape. There weren't even paper cups available, so I couldn't drink any. If you want water, you'll need to bring your own cup.

I’ve played Bristow a number of times over years. The conditions are constantly good. The fairways and greens were very good. I only rated it 4 stars because a number of the bunkers need some love as do a number of tee boxes. Nice patio to have a post round beer. I’ll definitely play there again.

Called the clubhouse multiple times to inform them of a specific group playing very slow - at least 1-1.5 holes behind group ahead. No marshal came out but 2 of them magically appeared when it was time to call out players to come due to darkness. Did not bother to tell the slow group to move along even though it was clear that they were using the course as a sort of range!!
