Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course
About
Nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains, Indian Canyons Golf Resort offers two championship courses with stunning views. The two golf courses, North and South, have completely different layouts but they are both sheltered from the wind thanks to the surrounding mountains. The South Course is the shorter of the two, making it the more player-friendly course. That is not to say it is not a challenge though. The rolling fairways are framed by contoured mounding and four expansive lakes come into play on six holes. The par 5s are particularly memorable. There are also well over 1,300 palm trees throughout the golf course, which includes hundreds of Washingtonia filifera palms. These trees are native to the Agua Caliente Tribe and an important part of their history.

First Timer
First time playing Indian Canyons South. Great weather / great course. Playing conditions were ideal. From bag drop off till completion we were treated very well by the staff. Starter was extremely nice and provided course overview very clearly. Having prior course knowledge would have been helpful, but didn’t detract from a fun and competitive day.
A Must Course To Play
For over 5 years we make this course a must course to play when planning our Annual Golfcation.
I have a friend from Kansas City, Phoenix and two of us from Las Vegas to make up our foursome.
Perky is the best Starter we have ever met.
She’s a great Ambassador for your course.
Favorite course in Coachella
Always in excellent condition and the staff is welcoming. Beverage cart came around regularly and the food at the grill was excellent as was the service!
New favorite resort / course!!
The South Course was in amazing shape and although the yardage is not as long as the north course, it still had its challenges with well protected greens with deep bunkers, water on some holes, long par 3's .... It was a great layout that will test the best of the best but still make it very enjoyable for the average golfer if he plays the correct tee's....I loved this place. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The bunkers were great with awesome sand and in excellent shape. This course / resort will leave you wanting to play more!! Good job Indian Canyon's!! I cannot wait to come back!! - Best part - It was super windy all other areas in PS but not here!! This course is shielded by the mountains so it was perfect!!
Great course and they actually have sand in their bunkers!
Spent 4 days, 4 rounds in Palm Springs. Played Dunes and Mountain Courses first and those Pete Dye courses were diabolical. Only issue there was no sand in bunkers. This course was a bit more "resort style" but I feel had all the elements of a great round. The staff was fantastic, the course was in great shape! This course is very close to the airport so it makes the perfect course for the "last day of golf". I teed off at 0630 and was in my car on the way to the airport by 1000. If you have a early afternoon flight home this is for sure the course to hit up.
Amazing views
This course is beautiful... don't even think about it, it's a great course
Terrific Golf Course
Where do I start with this course...How about with the course conditions. The course is in excellent shape, the greens run true, the tee boxes are well maintained, the sand traps are good, and the fairways are solid. Overall, this course gets an A for conditions.
Second, the staff is incredibly friendly. The pro-shop, starter, marshals, cart girls, and food/beverage folks are all very nice and accommodating. The marshals in particular are terrific (more on this later).
Third, pace of play. This course targets a four hour round and they are serious about it. We played two rounds on Friday, one at 8AM and one at 2PM. Both rounds clocked in at under four hours. The marshals will tell you to hurry up if you are falling behind pace, but they are so nice and apologetic about it, you can't even be mad. Besides, I LOVE a four-hour round so I really appreciate them keeping things moving.
I'd like to thank the staff of this course for providing such a treat of a time. I highly encourage people to check this course out.
The only odd thing about this course is that there are only two par 3s and two par 5s across the course. That means there are 14 par 4s. A bit strange, but it was still cool.
Nice Resort Course To Pad The Ego!
Played early morning on a Tuesday. Threesome went around in 3.5 hours. Excellent conditions and the staff were exceptional. Friendliest starters and course marshals anywhere. Tees and greens are worthy of the Tour. Traps soft and raked. Wide open with a little water on a few holes, and typically forgiving for a resort course. I'll be back next spring and will be booking another round.
Amazing condition & Incredible views
I play this course every time I’m in Palm Springs, but today was incredible. It’s currently the best condition of any course I’ve played in a long time. The staff has done an incredible job with the tee boxes, fairways and greens. Combine that with the mountainous backdrop and this is an elite course. The greens fees are a bargain for the experience.
Hats off to the folks at Indian Canyon. Thanks for the awesome day.
Great fun !
A nice course to play with a couple of challenging holes I’d recommend this course to any of my friends
Perfect Palm Springs Course in the HEAT
From the moment we arrived we were treated like Kings!
Wide selection of merchandise, the staff knew their stuff as far as quality.
They Loaded us up, got us out there. The mountains and strategically placed trees kept us cool. The greens ran True AF. Fairways were plush! Hit a good drive get rewarded. Rough was real. PGA tough but fun.
This course was worth every dollar. Thank you to Lety, and the cart attendant . Can’t remember his name but he deserves recognition.
We had an amazing experience.
Great golf course
This course was awesome. The course was in great shape and the pace of play on point. I am definitely coming back.
