Coyote Moon Golf Course

First time playing here after several friends insisted that I have to play it "once", to enjoy the unmatched beauty. The course indeed was gorgeous and the layout of the holes was surprisingly fun and challenging. If I were a better golfer I would definitely play it again. The course is difficult - very few flat spots, lots of elevation changes, undulating greens, thick rough. But I enjoyed it despite shooting my highest score in a long time. Staff was extremely friendly as well. Play this course at least once!

Coyote man was in excellent condition and is a really fun Golf course.

I would’ve liked to have had some water stations somewhere on the course or a beverage cart. The only drinking water available was at the start and at the turn.

First- course itself is amazing. Beautiful scenery, challenging holes, and fast greens. If you are out for a little nature experience with some golf on the side, they offer that.

Second- Unfortunately the course itself was overshadowed by the atrocious pace of play. Marshalls stop policing it seemed around 1 PM both times I’ve played here. And both times we have been behind large groups of good ol’ boys who have no etiquette on the course leading to a 5:45 minute round. For the price I expect a better experience.

The good.., the course is beautiful well maintained.

The bad…the slowest round of golf in my 35 years of playing. They have no water on the course. They have no refreshment golf cart. They have no marshall and if they is one he should be fired. For $225.00 you would think these problems would be taken care of.

Great pro-shop team and all of the staff were very friendly. The course is challenging but also a lot of fun. Course conditions and the scenic beauty made it an enjoyable round.

I’ve played here a few times before but I have never seen the course conditions this perfect! It’s been a couple of years since the last time but this was one of my must-play courses! There was absolutely nothing to complain about! Friendly staff, inside & out!

I forgot why I made Coyote Moon was one of my favs in Truckee!

Amazing course in great shape with beautiful views

Coyote Moon is a fantastic course with beautiful views and challenging holes.

Friendly staff and a fun course layout made for an enjoyable round, and the overall course condition was solid. However, the greens were disappointing—bumpy, slow, and inconsistent—and the pace of play was sluggish, which took away from the experience

Pro shop was nonplussed and offered no award or anything.

Such a great and challenging track! Every hole is original and fun. Perfect for the mountain area with greens that present interesting surprises. Had an awesome time and even had a visit or two from a couple coyotes. They didn’t bother us, but just wanted to make sure we were having a good time.
