Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club

We played on Tuesday the 9th of June.

The 2 gents in the club shop were massively polite and when we asked a question allowed us a shot on the simulator.

The course conditions held up considering all 4 seasons during our round but overall a great course and very well run facilities!

A very pleasant experience in spite of the weather. Very enjoyable round of golf with some testing holes but also quite forgiving in places given the open aspect. Some great views out to sea. Staff incredibly friendly. Great catering after the game and most welcoming. Will definitely play here again. Greens were excellent. For first time player little difficult to work out where the next tee was but saying that sign posts were very good and it just involved a little walking. Thoroughly enjoyable day.

Played recently & the course was excellent for the time of year. Played here in the summer & can only say it was superb condition with the Pro Shop & clubhouse staff all extremely friendly & everything was well priced.

Excellent condition for the time of year & were on full greens which were in great condition.

Fantastic welcome from the Club Pro & fab food in the clubhouse. Well worth a visit.

Course was in fantastic condition, some of the best greens I’ve played on. Great value for money, clubhouse and pro shop staff very friendly and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend if you are in the area.

Great course in exceptional condition. Outstanding greens for time of year. A real challenge particularly around the middle 6 holes. Great catering and well stocked friendly pro shop

Played earlier in the week, and even though we are in to November, the course was in great condition, with the greens running great, staff in the shop got us booked in with ease, and gave a great first impression of the club, can highly recommend playing here, well worth the visit

Terrible staff member in starters office - young man who was very angry and not at all polite or welcoming- very poor service - we played Powfoot and 3 other course - we were welcome with a smile and friendly chat in them all - the way it should be.

Course was great but pins hadn’t been changed since the Texas scramble at the weekend so pin positions were extreme to say the least!

No food and bar was closed

I’ve now played both the courses in Dumfries both fantastic courses but this one just pips the county course, loved the layout of the course and some challenging holes with blind shots. The course was in great condition tee to green, the only negative I have about the course is the parking which seems to be a running theme with courses I’ve played in Scotland, I had to park on the main road which had room for about 6 cars so not sure where you’d park if they weren’t available, but it takes nothing away from a great course

Disappointing to come across no yardage markers, especially with a lot of blind holes.

Course was in great condition considering all the rain recently. Gentleman in pro shop very friendly. Course is a great lay out but holes 11 and 12 in particular very hilly for those with mobility issues. However definitely be back if I can and would recommend for anyone visiting the area
