Baytowne at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

Course convictions are awful, terrible greens, terrible bunkers, paying way to much for what course is like

Greens were not well kept and almost impossible to play. Very hairy. Staff was nice though. Should not be able to charge full price considering the green conditions.

On vacation and played Baytown because it was the only last minute morning tee time I could find.Should have stayed with the fam on the brace. That’s how disappointing it was. I was told at the pro shop that greens were bad but not until I had already committed to play. The other 3 San Destin courses are almost always in great shape so there is obviously less attention given to this one. Plan ahead and play somewhere else.

The course layout is very good. The greens are very furry and do not give a good roll or consistency.

The course is nice. Well manicured fairways and rough. Narrow fairways (for me) made it a good challenge.

The primary drawback was the range closure due to rain and the greens were very slow. The grass was long on the greens and need to be rolled. Each stroke on the putting surface felt like playing pinball.

I'd loke to try again after the greens are cut. Im told that the Raven course was playing very well.

The staff at the driving range was phenomenal. I stopped there first because it's set apart from the course and I wanted to warm up. He explained how everything worked - where to check in and that the round came with practice balls. Unfortunately the range is short, so no woods allowed. Plan accordingly.

The course layout and fairways were great and I think I would have enjoyed the round thoroughly if the greens weren't in such disrepair. For the price, I was very disappointed. Baytowne in Sandestin was the same price and significantly better quality.

The fairways and bunkers were in good shape but the greens were terrible.

Played with my grandson. We were paired with a nice couple from St Louis, who encouraged grandson through good shots and a few mulligans.

Course fairways were great, greens were green but a little bumpy. Staff we interacted with were friendly. Layout crossing Hwy 98 (tunnel to cross) was interesting getting us near the beach. Lots of water and sand traps, but course was fair. Played at our pace without pressure. Enjoyed our round despite waiting out a thunderstorm.

Challenging and a fun course. And the fairway was decent. The only downside was the condition of the greens on many holes. I would play there again.

Courses was great to play but the greens were not in good shape. Also, has no water available on the course.

Great course and pro shop, range, etc. everything was in super condition except the greens were really slow and bumpy making it hard to judge the round

Course was in good shape overall, but the greens were longer than normal and putting was extremely slow. Bunkers also needed attention, the sand was packed down petty hard. Overall the course was in good shape though. Staff was very friendly and helpful, great experience.
