Rocky Bayou Country Club

We enjoyed playing this course. Fairways, greens and tees were very good, roughs were not good.

Just an outstanding course layout / design, very beautiful. Good test of golf! Would definitely recommend this course to others, especially for the GolfNow price.

We were paired with a wonderful couple (Alan & Helen) from Canada.

We play Rocky Bayou as often as we can. It’s a great layout, course length and value. Highly recommend this course when you’re in this area.

Played there last year and ladies room was out of order .

Course was in pretty good shape for the Winter. Greens needed some TLC.

Fairways were firm and fast, but the greens needed care, slow, bumpy and full of pitch marks

Fairways have been overseeded and are firm and fast, unfortunately their greens need some work, slow. Filled with multiple pitch marks that have not healed, just sprayed to give them the illusion that they look good. As soon as the golfer starts putting they will be disappointed.

The course itself is beautiful and well maintained, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the experience was ruined by several members whose behavior was completely unacceptable.

Our group was visiting from out of town and was hit into five different times within the first nine holes. We maintained a steady pace of play and never lost sight of the group ahead. At the turn, we decided to grab a quick bite to allow a faster group to play through, but when we returned to the 10th tee, another group of members approached us aggressively, claiming it was an “unwritten rule” that players aren’t allowed to stop at the turn mid-round.

We calmly offered to let them play through, but one member began yelling, insisting that “wasn’t the point.” As part of our group continued ahead, the same member drove past us, teed off from the yellow box in the middle of our group, and claimed he had “called the president” who gave him permission to do so.

It was an incredibly disrespectful and unsafe encounter that reflected poorly on the club’s membership culture.

Overall, this is a great course with courteous staff and excellent conditions—but unless management addresses the entitled and rude behavior of certain members, I would hesitate to recommend it to visiting players.

I was surprised at how nice the course was for what we paid.

Stayed near seaside, drove 45 minutes to get to the club. Great value compared to courses on 30A. Course is in good condition. Some greens under repair but tee boxes in good shape. Lots of care put into course. Fairways and bunkers in great shape. Would play again. Finished round on Sunday in 4 hours flat with cart.
