About
Located just northwest of Tampa, Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Club sprawls across the lush landscape of the west Florida coast. The club offers three nines: the Gator, the Panther, and the Bobcat. The nines can be played individually for a quick round or in three different 18-hole combinations. The Gator/Panther layout offers a good balance of challenges and player-friendly features. Narrow, tree-lined fairways are complemented by generous landing areas. There are sparkling lakes and ponds that come into play on a few holes and strategically placed bunkers are situated along the greensides. In addition to the three golf courses, Silver Dollar boasts one of the area's most extensive practice facilities, which includes a full driving range, two putting greens, a pitching and chipping green with a sandtrap, and three practice holes.

Course is in bad shape
Don't blame it on dry conditions, the course is mostly dirt and sand. There are big holes on the tee boxes and greens. Don't clean a ball because the water is sewer water and no towels to even wipe the stench off.
Needs better TLC
There were several holes where the Tees and/or the greens were horrible. One green had stakes and ropes on it protecting the ground which was mud. For the price it still wasn’t worth it. Not sure why it’s not maintained properly. I almost felt like we should have received a refund.

Simply put this was the absolute worst golf course I’ve ever played on. Period!
Good place to play
Pace was good and staff friendly. All in all good course to play.
Confusing 3 X 9 hole course
The tee boxes were it bad condition and quite small. Getting from green to the tee is not well marked.Signage at corners/intersections would be helpful. We had no idea how to get hole to hole in 5-6 instances. Greens are very very slow and a few were fuzzy with rough grass. Yes, it’s a trap club, but I was not expecting the constant distraction of guns firing. $45 was our discount price from Golf Pass. Absolutely not worth the price! Highly doubt we’ll be returning. And 6$ for a hot dog! Really people!
Greens need work
Overall, everything was pretty good, but the greens need a lot of work. They were extremely slow.
Beautiful Weather for Golf
Since we are in a serve drought, I give them a a nod for decent grounds. Couple of spits were rough but again we have had NO RAIN.
Definitely recommend for a day of golf
Slow greens
If they would cut down the greens it would have been great. Hole 2 on Gator is unputtable
played hear many times, always a very good experience.

I have played there many times in the past. very nice course to play with some holes that are challenging.
Shooting range
The course hosted a shooting competition, shoot guns. It was like a war zone, should have advised golfers and provided a discount. Course was in average to good condition, one green had no grass.
Panther course was awful. Gator course better. Trap shooting noise unbearable.

Very nice place for a reasonable. Gator nine was excellent in all respects. Worth the trip.
