Course/bunker condition.
The Orchard course at Lincoln Hills is suffering from a horrendous crabgrass invasion. It’s literally everywhere, it’s in the rough, in the fairways, and even on the collars. The amount of crabgrass varies from one hole to the next, and although I appreciate how difficult a battle it is to keep crabgrass under control, on some of the holes it’s literally everywhere.
Although a majority of the bunkers appeared to be in good condition, there doesn’t appear to be any effort to maintain them. None of them appeared to have been raked, and the sand is settled due to extensive watering, making some of them extremely firm and difficult to play out of.
Fairways are getting patchy
The greens and tee boxes are in good shape for late summer but the fairways are getting weedy and patchy. I caught a few bad lies in middle of the fairway.
Early morning tee time
The Staff was friendly and helpful except for the grouchy starter. Greens were great except for youngsters damaging the 13th with e-bikes.
Orchard Track
Way over priced for what you get. A lot better courses in area for price.
Fun to play
Very open course. Fair test of golf. Greens are very nice. We were fortunate to play with a member who was very helpful as we had not played here before.
Great Course
Overall I had a great experience playing Lincoln Hills Orchard Course. The pace of play seemed a little tight but other than that that I had a great late morning round here, would recommend to friends and family!
Little shocked
I have been playing this course for years now and lately the fairways seem to be loosing to the crab grass. Not as well maintained as it used to be to be.
I don’t know about the hills course because you can never get on unless your a single or want to play in the afternoon. Early times ( like most ) are taken by the members…some of the members I have run into seem to have a they own the place mentality.
Hole in ONE
I got the hole in one @ 11 hole par 3 at Orchard course.n
Somewhat underwhelmed
The course is long and more than a few holes were challenging and fun. I had higher expectations for the condition of the course. The rough is…rough. Some mix of St. Augustine and wild grasses that made chips from around the green not fun. Tee boxes were not particularly well maintained but Greens were decent shape, consistent, and challenging.
Good/excellent course
Pace of play was excellent. Many of the bridges connecting the holes need major repairs. Very few visible yard markers. You should have range finder when playing.
Pretty Good Shape
Course is fun to play and has some challenging holes. If you can get by with a few pars on those holes you are doing well. Good mix of challenging holes and some fairly easy ones.
Way too much crabgrass everywhere!
This course has insane amounts of crabgrass everywhere, fairways, near greens. It’s pretty bad in my view, especially since they raised rates this year. Pace of play was about 5 hours on Friday.
