River Oaks Golf Club

Course is in pretty good shape. The tee boxes are Bermuda grass and a little fluffy looking. The greens are in good shape and rolling true.

Very uncharacteristically slow play! At one point our threesome allowed two singles to join us and we were still waiting on literally every tee box. This was despite the fact that we were following two separate twosomes!

Also, River Oaks has done an excellent job with their bunkers, they have some of the best in the area. That said, there doesn’t seem to be any effort to rake them or maintain them. Consequently, the sand has settled due to repeated watering and they have become extremely firm and difficult to hit out of.

The course is well.maintained. I'm an intermediate golfer and found some.holes challenging. The staff was awesome. mike att the front desk was very helpful. The best part.was.aftee, they have the best tacos around.

Love the conditions nice course to play. There are a lot of mosquitoes along the second hole early in the morning so I might want to bring some bug spray. But as the sun came out stronger, they went away.

Course is in great condition. Pace of play was good. Food and drinks are amazing!

River Oaks has improved significantly!! Compared to 10yrs ago when it was under different owners. New owners really care about the condition and layout of their course. Great for seasoned golfers or beginners!! I recommend beginners try it in later hrs., (only cuz there’s a lot of golfers in the morning). Women and kids that are learning how to golf will like this course. Wide open with some hills and trees, but still challenging even for seasoned veterans of golf!!

Really really nice place to play. Yes it’s hot in the summer. But that’s why you get a cart.

Food is delicious at the bar. The tacos are tasty. The margarita was too.

This course has come back a long way from when it was closed due to flooding. I keep it as a regular stop on my golf rotation

I play courses all over sacremento valley this is the best one for the money courses that charge double the price have nothing on this place always one of my favorite courses to play

Now that the weather is getting very warm to Hot, it would be nice if they had water cans on numerous holes.
