The Lincoln Hills Golf Club - Orchard Course

Other players cancelled and there was 4some in front of me but I decide to just wait it instead asking to play thru because the other was also a 4some. pace was not that slow and played without rushing.

I haven’t played this course in over 4 years; it’s a big and busy complex so parking away from pro shop is probably common. Checked in with Pro shop, received cart key and went to #1 tee; the starter arrived with 3 golfers and said I didn’t check-in with him. The Pro Shop staff didn’t say I needed to. Starter at most courses are located on the 1st tee box. Pro shop staff needs to communicate with golfers; however course was in good shape for this time of year. Fairways are nice so wet areas due to watering but that’s common at most courses, prevent dry out. Greens rolled well and fast and plenty of contours. Tee boxes were acceptable. I highly recommend the restaurant afterwards, great food.

Played fun round of golf. Met 2 great guys that made up the four-sum. The course is in very good condition. The greens also in good condition. They running on the fast side - ideal for good putting. The greens have lots of contours, therefore course knowledge or good golf app with green mapping is hugely beneficial. We played to our own pace, which was excellent with no groups close in front or behind.

The two other players did not show up and don’t call it in for other golfers can play at an early tee time. I wish the golf club would charge them but because of their club membership they don’t.

Starter moved our 4some earlier because of a last minute cancellation. The pace of play was great. We only waited 2 times at tees during the entire round.

Early morning tee off. Started as a twosome then we had the other twosome join us since we were behind a foursome. It was fun and enjoyable playing with this group. Good pace of play.

The Orchard course at Lincoln Hills is suffering from a horrendous crabgrass invasion. It’s literally everywhere, it’s in the rough, in the fairways, and even on the collars. The amount of crabgrass varies from one hole to the next, and although I appreciate how difficult a battle it is to keep crabgrass under control, on some of the holes it’s literally everywhere.

Although a majority of the bunkers appeared to be in good condition, there doesn’t appear to be any effort to maintain them. None of them appeared to have been raked, and the sand is settled due to extensive watering, making some of them extremely firm and difficult to play out of.

The greens and tee boxes are in good shape for late summer but the fairways are getting weedy and patchy. I caught a few bad lies in middle of the fairway.

The Staff was friendly and helpful except for the grouchy starter. Greens were great except for youngsters damaging the 13th with e-bikes.

Way over priced for what you get. A lot better courses in area for price.

Very open course. Fair test of golf. Greens are very nice. We were fortunate to play with a member who was very helpful as we had not played here before.

Overall I had a great experience playing Lincoln Hills Orchard Course. The pace of play seemed a little tight but other than that that I had a great late morning round here, would recommend to friends and family!

I have been playing this course for years now and lately the fairways seem to be loosing to the crab grass. Not as well maintained as it used to be to be.

I don’t know about the hills course because you can never get on unless your a single or want to play in the afternoon. Early times ( like most ) are taken by the members…some of the members I have run into seem to have a they own the place mentality.
