Golf Club At Wescott Plantation - Burn Kill Course
About
The Golf Club at Westcott Plantation is a 27-hole course that is situated within one of the area's oldest plantations. The beauty of the Lowcountry is evident throughout the golf course with centuries-old oak trees framing all the layouts and lush vegetation along every hole. The names of the courses: Oak Forest, Burn Kill, and Black Robin, all have origins in the plantation's history. Burn Kill is tighter off the tees than Oak Forest, but more generous than Black Robin. The golf course has a classic bunkering style and there are streams, ponds, and wetlands interspersed throughout for added challenge. The 8th hole is one of the most unique holes of the entire course. On this par 3, the black and blue tees attack the green from a completely different angle than the white, green, and red.

Surprising
The. Purse could be so nice but the greens are in terrible condition and the course is not well maintained. Save your money
okay for the money
the course conditions were in rough shape. Greens had a lot of dead and mud areas. Brown grass on fairways
3 courses to play
This was a fun track. There are 3 courses at Wescott. The starter gave us which two we would play and I look forward to playing the third one at another. I went on a Thursday before July 4 and it was crowded so the pace was slower than I'd like. The course was dry and some of the greens were diseased but overall it was a great value.
Nice course, greens need improvement.
I really enjoyed playing this course, but the greens were in rough shape.
A little dissatisfied
Greens were bad. Most of the tee boxes bad shape. Very disappointed!
Golf in the rain
Played course in a rainy day, had the course to myself for the most part. Course handled hard rain very well. Lots of geese and associated droppings, but the conditions overall were very solid. Good value. Staff was underwhelming.
Do better
This was by far the worst I have seen the green s since I’ve been here since early February. It’s actually criminal they are able to charge what they do for the conditions. Pretty inexcusable
Greens are disgraceful
Only paid $64 to play at 2:16pm, which for the area is low cost, but that is no reason for the greens to be this bad. It’s almost like since the fees are less expensive than the higher end places that the guests deserve crappy greens. Tees weren’t great either, but they weren’t as embarrassing as the greens. Played a lot of golf all over and cannot think of greens this bad. It’s a shame because it could be a decent place. But, since the tee sheet is full every day I guess there is no reason to try and do better.
It's always all about the greens
Un-puttable.....
Pro shop staff and check-in marshall were having a bad day...and made sure to drag me down with them.... at 815am on a Friday
Disappointed - three hour front nine!
So so slow - didn’t get to play the back nine due to the slowness of pace. Please stagger the tee times and stop putting profits ahead of the golfer.
Greens were quite fluffy and slow. Worse were the bunkers - no one rakes. Shame on the golfers.
Will not go back. Fun design - the course made me feel 18 again as the fairways were hard and the ball ran like crazy!
Course is not maintained - Bring something to drill pilot holes for your tees
Played here on 4/12/26 and for $70, the conditions were extremely disappointing.
Tee boxes were rock hard—honestly felt like you needed to bring a drill just to get a tee in the ground. The greens were in rough shape: a mix of sand, clover, and large dead patches, making it nearly impossible to get a true roll.
Fairways were very dry, and while the ball would roll out 70–80 yards, that’s more a sign of poor maintenance than a benefit.
For the price, you expect at least playable conditions. This wasn’t close. Wouldn’t recommend until things improve.
First round@ Wescott
Good condition other than greens with fresh fertilizer☹️ and some unmarked/unkept tee boxesco
Lots of Fun
First time playing. Staff were friendly and helping. Course was in very good shape. Greens were recently sanded so putting, initially was challenging but once you got it it was fine. Pace of play was great, never waited on any hole. Practice facilities were solid. Would play here again.
