The Club at Pine Forest

3rd time here. Always enjoy the course layout and pace of play was great. Course is starting to see some late summer wear, but it's still in very good condition. would defintely play again

The fact that they charged full price when the greens were absolutely terrible (rest of the course in mediocre shape as well) - I mean, at the very least clean up the grass clippings and fill in the huge HOLES in the fairways.

We were told “they don’t have a roller for the greens right now….” What???? Then don’t charge full price and let players know the greens are rolling like you’re on a gravel driveway.

I’ve held off leaving this review over my last few rounds there, not something I normally do. It’s the closest course to my house so naturally it’s the course I play the most. The course is much improved over the last few years and generally love the layout. The gentlemen at the clubhouse, believe it’s John, is miserable anytime I get there or call to inquire about heading out there. Instead of welcoming you to come play or just being decent. He comes off miserable and like I’m inconveniencing him anytime I get there or call to check availability. It’s either “well the course is packed and you won’t be able to move quickly” or “we got a lot of rain so I shouldn’t even be letting people out” or “the cart has to be in by 8 and it’s slow out there so I don’t even know how many holes you can get in”. I’ll take my money to Santee, the courses are nicer, the price is more competitive and the customer service is a mile better. I won’t be playing Pine Forest any longer, done giving my money to course that doesn’t seem like they want it.

Course was in good shape except for most of the greens. They were very slow and bumpy. Staff was great

I am just getting back into golfing and though I would try this course because of the deal I got on a Friday afternoon. The course is beautiful but challenging for someone not dialed in. The pace was slow but the ranger addressed it and things opened up. The staff was friendly and I can't wait to play the course again when I get my swing back.

I expected flats and straight fairways. There was more water and mounds than expected. I look forward to the next time I can play it.

Be accurate. With water on every hole, you better find the fairway or bring a lot of balls. Greens are sculpted and challenging too but not too fast. No gps adds to the challenge but 90 degrees with the carts kept play fast. 4 hour round at noon on a Saturday.
