Anderson Creek Golf Club
About
When Anderson Creek Golf Club first opened in 2001 it was immediately recognized as the "Best New Golf Course in North Carolina." The course was designed by 1997 PGA Championship winner Davis Love III, it was his first signature design in North Carolina. It has a traditional layout that epitomizes golf in the Carolina Sandhills. The layout features rolling emerald fairways lined with towering pines and undulating greens bordered by large roll-off areas, a tribute to the classic Donald Ross designs that are prevalent in the Sandhills. The challenging golf course has tricky doglegs and there are a variety of elevation changes throughout. Water comes into play on a few holes at Anderson Creek Golf Club, most memorably though on the par-3 fourth, which demands a carry over a large lake. Strategically placed bunkers also lurk along the greensides.

Anderson Creek
Aweful course. They decided to aerate the greens a the day before and didn’t tell us when we checked in. Looks like it could be a nice place but currently I wouldn’t waste me time.
Anderson Creek Golf Course
Great value. A little far from home for daily play, but well worth a 50 minute drive from Southwest Wake County. During the week, you can turn 18 in less than 4 hours. Middle of a drought, course was fast.
Course needs work
The greens, although fast and smooth, had very poor grass coverage.
The fairways were very dry and cut extremely short.
I was planning on 18 holes, but left after 9 because it just wasn't fun.
AC
Same course, fairways and greens still a bit dormant, super tight lies and wobbly greens. Good value at $42 to ride. Super slow play today.
Too expensive for the course conditions
Had high hopes for this course but for the money, the course was in poor condition. Fairways were very bare with many dirt spots all over the fairways. The greens were beautiful but they let the greens grow out very long (assuming for color) and they putted terribly. Some of the slowest greens I've ever played on.
Anderson Creek
Anderson Creek is always an enjoyable course to play. If you play after it has been raining be prepared to just remove your ball from any bunkers when they are very wet or have standing water which is a common problem with several area courses. Other than that, everyone in the clubhouse and those working on the course are outstanding to deal with.
Best value for the money
Very good layout. Course is quite difficult and requires good shot making. The course was very wet due to heavy rains the prior day. Will come back again.
Army golfer
Great deal and challenging course. Green’s not bad after rough and cold temps. A little behind but should be in pretty good shape by mid to late April. Great layout especially back nine.
