Chaotic
Considering the heatwave we are currently experiencing, the course was in decent condition, and the greens were very playable and well kept.
My issue was with the slow pace of play. There was a football in front of us which wouldn’t call us through. This was badly managed by the staff, and the on course steward could have spoken with the group to allow players through, but didn’t,
There were groups of young golfers hanging onto buggies charging from hole to hole without consideration for rules of other players on the course. Very chaotic.
I enjoy the course immensely, but I would recommend that people playing the course are better managed by the staff.
Great course but didn’t get to finish 18 holes due to slow play and sunset
Rushed
We walked 18. Buggies in front and behind, but a group in front held us up due to a large group before them. The group behind in buggies were adding pressure to the game. Marshall’s could have been in attendance to move things along ahead, but were not. Also bad signage between 10th and 11th. We found the 11th after asking other players for directions.
Overall a great looking course though.
Nice course, worth a play!
Course is usually expensive, out of my price range for a round of golf, but a twilight tee at 19:06 was nice and refreshing after a long day, lovely course and fast greens which are smooth and stable!
Very nice setting and mixture of holes to play along the way etc
Worth a go, very well kept and peaceful.

Wedding experience
We would strongly advise anyone considering this venue to think twice, especially if you plan to pay corkage.
We paid £1080 in corkage fees to supply our own alcohol for our wedding in August 2025. There were no clear terms and conditions provided, and nothing in our contract explained how corkage would be handled. Despite this, we trusted the venue to serve the drinks we had paid to provide.
After the wedding, we discovered from the bar receipts that our alcohol was largely not used. Instead, the venue served their own stock and charged us full bar prices. Meanwhile, many of our bottles remained unopened and were simply returned to us afterwards, having been kept behind the bar.
In effect, we paid over £1000 for a service that was not delivered.
When we raised this and requested a refund for the unused corkage, the venue refused to take responsibility. The situation has been made even worse by a change in ownership, with liability being passed around rather than addressed. We have had no meaningful engagement or attempt to resolve the issue.
We have now been forced to pursue legal action through the small claims court, which has added unnecessary stress and time after what should have been a happy occasion.
This experience has been extremely disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable. If you are considering this venue, make sure every detail—especially corkage—is explicitly written into your contract and monitored on the day, as our experience suggests you cannot rely on what is agreed verbally.
The Club
An excellent well managed golf course and clubhouse. A delight to play and eat at the club. Food very good and staff always friendly and welcoming and very efficient.
Cable classic
Excellent experience from booking to 19th hole
Course in great shape considering the amount of water and weather conditions in October / November
Looking forward to next visit
Great welcome, course in great shape , slow play seems a trait with this course golf etiquette missing at times overall a great course with friendly staff would definitely rec
Dave’s borthday
Great golf course and amenities a real shame about course management very slow individuals with little golf etiquette
Good condition. Slow pace. Bar closed early.
Course was in good condition. Pace of play was really slow (twilight). Bar/clubhouse closed too early. 18th fairway was sloped so much it doesn’t matter where your tee shot goes.
Nice course but clearly maintenance week!
Very nice course but it must have been maintenance week. The greens were literally all sand which was almost unplayable. Would’ve been nice to have been made aware of even discounted the green fee.
Lovely Course & Club
Course fantastic. Some very interesting holes, Course in great condition.
Food and drink afterwards was very good. All staff were very friendly
