About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Nice course at a good price
I had a great time playing Green River Golf course . I booked a hot deal , so I played 18 holes with a cart for only $32 , which is a great deal . The course had a fun and moderately challenging layout. The course was in great condition and the bunkers were filled with sand which was nice (I was expecting hard dirt in the bunkers). My only complaint was the pace of play - I was told the pace of play was good when I checked in ( 2pm tee time on a Monday) but still took 4+ hours playing as a twosome . Not a terrible pace of play but a little slow considering it was not a busy time . I would still like to come back though , I had a fun experience overall.
Green River
Pace was slow. Seems like the were many novice golfers, with very slow pace.
I took a golf ball to the chest and heard them yell Four after impact.
Great overall experience fairways were a little bumpy but other than that greens were nice. It was a good day
Worst course in California
Staff was friendly so I have nothing negative to say about them. Place of play was horrendous, are the tee times 2 minutes apart? Course was in trash conditions, had to wait ten minutes past our tee time for a cart, back up after back up. We made it though 5 holes and left, couldn’t handle the 20 minute wait on each tee box. Worst golf outing I’ve ever had.
Getting There
The greens need about another week to completely recover from aeration. The fairways are getting better, but have a ways to go. The bunker sand is excellent.
No mention of Punched Greens
Well. I do love this course. But my group was very disappointed that when we got to the green in hole one and all of the other 17 hole greens that they were punched. So it was a very frustrating experience to say the least. I wish I was told before I booked my tee time. Other than that, the course was great. The staff was great. I’d play there again.

Course is fine but greens are heavily sanded and plugged

The back nine greens were punched and drowning in sand. The was a fivesome ahead of us.

This course can be really challenging based on the wind conditions
It was really windy which made the course conditions difficult. If you seek challenges this is a course for you.
Great course conditions
I was pleasantly surprised that Green River golf course conditions were well maintained. The greens were in excellent conditions. The golf course has always been on my favorites list. Plan to play there more frequently
Love Golf
Started on time, pace of play was good. Fairways and green were in good shape. Love the improved bunkers with white sand.
