Great Course
Great course with well taken care of greens and fairways. The only reason it wasn't 5 stars is that is was so backed up, it took a lot of the fun out of it. Tee times were way too close together, causing major backups. We teed off about 15 min later than the actual tee time and took about 5 hours to play. I understand that the course has to make money but I woild rather pay a little more than be that backed up
Rushed Tee Time
We showed up for a 7:57 tee time I booked at 730 and was told we missed our 7:33 tee time. We paid for 18 holes and played 17 because we had to catch the 7:33 group. We asked at the end of the round what happened and we were blamed for double booking a tee time which we didn’t and we could prove that!
Then we got behind a twosome that took thier sweet time and were told they were allowed to tee off the back nine which created a slow pace of play.
We were considering becoming members but not sure at this point.
Had high hopes
First time playing the course since 2020. Course is generally the same with the only change being the front and back nines being switched. The greens were in good condition with occasional patches here and there. Fairways were playable but a few areas need attention (holes 3, 9 10, 13, 14, 18). Some tee boxes showed signs of overplay but can also use some tlc. Biggest complaint is pace of play - took 5 1/2 hours to finish 18. The 2 groups behind us got tired of waiting and decided to play as a group of 7. Maybe it will be better next time, but for now, I'll pass.
Good value and pace of play
Two driving forces we use to book tee times, value and pace of play. Pace of play being the optimal reason for playing any course for us. As long as they keep that moving we will continue to go back!
Course is in great shape. The cart paths need some attention.
Incorrect price charged
They would not honor price that was quoted to me after booking thru Golf Now. I showed them my receipt but they just said something must be wrong with your booking system. Was pretty rude about it.
Needs work
Tough to keep the ball on the fairway for many holes even when you hit it down the middle. A lot of dead areas. Golf cart path is rough. Greens are in good condition. Driving range is in great condition. Staff is great.
good course but not an $80 course
It was my and two other players first time trying the course. We liked the club house and the grill, the greens were exceptional but the cart paths were in bad shape,
We all paid $80 ea. for the round and I'm still trying to find out where my $48 went that it charged me to book the tee time. It's a good track and we may go back but not at an $80 rate.
Rough Going
Everything was looking good until the guy in the pro shop said it was cart path only 😩I played there before and it is very hilly and the paths can be miles away from your ball . The greens were in good condition but every tee box and most fairways were void of anything resembling grass ,where the little bit of grass was growing it was rock hard everywhere I don’t understand golf in Georgia even though I worked at a course for 5 years
Needs work!
The greens were in great condition! The fairways are in the process of coming out of the winter slumber but could use some work. The tee boxes are in horrible shape! Many looked more like sand traps. Was charged a lower rate than what was booked so that was a good thing. Still a little overpriced for the overall course shape. Will still play it again in the future.
Great value, greens are on point
Nice 19th hole. Really nice practice green and serving range. Very friendly staff. Good layout. Not too challenging but not wide open. The greens are in spectacular shape. I would definitely make the trip to play there again.
Not like it used to be
They've lost every tee box - virtually no grass. There's lots of bare areas, often times I had to look for areas to play the ball. I was a players club member 5 years ago and this is the 1st time returning - I was very disappointed. The bright spot was the condition of the greens, they were in pretty good shape and rolled true.
Strange lack of yardage markers
No yardage plaques on any of the par threes, no 150 yard markers, occasional 100 yard markers, no marked sprinkler heads. I hit the wrong club on multiple occasions because I was relying on a GPS app that wasn’t very accurate. You’ll be fine as long as you bring a good range finder. Otherwise, it’s a guessing game.
