Solid but Golfnow didn't tell me the greens were punched
golf shop employee notified me that the greens had been punched a week earlier and that the green fee would be LESS than what golfnow had advertised. He could have easily just charged me the regular rate that i booked with golfnow who did NOT mention the aerification conditions. Awesome job by the golf shop staff to charge me the correct amount... conditions were good otherwise
Not Good
The rough was too tall and thick. I lost three balls on the first nine! One drive went straight down the middle and it disappeared. There were very few level lies in the fairway. I didn’t like this course because too many holes were designed to hurt the player. Also, my friend and I were treated very poorly when we attempted to get our cart deposit back. The young lady with yellow dyed hair and giant eyelashes had a terrible attitude and questioned whether my friend had paid the deposit. She was very rude to me when I spoke nicely to her. I will not return to this course, but I might try the east course, as it looks much more playable.
Blue Rock Experience
The course generally was in good shape but the greens had recently been punched so they terrible.. But to the defense of the staff, they offered to move us to the East course but at a later tee time which didn't work for us. The was a couple of areas where there were no signs to direct you to the next hole
Nice course
Second cut just off fairways is way to long. Can't find balls
Great value
This course rewards staying in the fairway. 1st cut can be deep. Small greens, but well maintained.
course is in good shape
Overall, for early spring, the course was in good shape. Most of the rough was mowed, not much problem finding balls. Greens were fast but a little bumpy
West Course Review
I enjoyed the West course, which is much more favorable to my 22 handicap than the East course (e.g., it ate me alive). Definitely play it. Last comment. The East course is wonderful for a good golfer (12 & under handicaper), but more difficult and not much fun for me to play.
GPS markings
On the back 9, my GPS went all out of whack. Couldn’t get any good reading on any hole. I’ve played this course many times and this is the first time my GPS went bonkers!! Something is not right! Hope you guys fix it before I come back.
Newbie find!
First time and I’m in love! Did the west course and I can’t wait to return to do the east
