Olde Sycamore Golf Club

I wrote this plays off years ago due to bad conditions, mostly with the greens. The price never matched the experience, not even close.

Credit to the team, because this place is in great shape now that they replaced the greens. Because they’re new, they are a bit bouncy but they rolled so nicely. Rest of the course was in really good shape as well.

Looking forward to a year from now once the greens have settled in. Going to be an elite track.

Finally worth the price!

Loved this course, definitely my new favorite. Course was in great shape. Great greens without the ridiculous slops. Fast but manageable.

The course is in very good condition. The tee boxes were good, fairways are challenging with a layout that has you using working a variety of clubs. Most of all, the greens are fast and have a lot of undulation. Be prepared to make reads with lots of movement.

The course is fun and challenging. If you are looking for good bang for the buck, I highly recommend playing this course.

A few years ago, I vowed to not play Olde Sycamore until the greens were replaced or improved. When I read a review on GN I booked a tee time for a foursome.

And for sure, the greens were much better. It's mid-March so these greens are still dormant (although some courses are greening up). They are kinda rough and some don't hold a well-struck shot, but I'm expecting they will improve soon. We'll see.

The course itself is a nice layout with interesting holes and is well maintained. The clubhouse and pro shop are great. The on-course bathrooms are clean. The refreshment cart comes around frequently and is well-stocked.

Played on Saturday, it had rained Thursday and then again on Friday morning. Course was extremely wet, it was cart path only and tee times were pretty close together. They didn’t have enough carts, so I didn’t get my cart until 1:24 for a 1:21 tee times. Then had to rush to the first tee and have the starter tell me let’s go, it’s past your tee time.

I heard their greens have all recently been redone, they were really in great shape, fast and rolled true..

I will definitely come back and play again though, I think the pace of play would have been much better if tit wouldn’t have been cart path only

Great course with a fun layout and beautiful views. The staff was welcoming, pace of play was smooth, and the greens rolled true. Overall, a really enjoyable round—I’d definitely come back!

OS is headed in the right direction. I played last year and paid way too much for way too little. They have redone the greens and they are in very good shape. Seems like they have removed some trees to help the fairways and greens get needed sunlight. The tee boxes were a little rough but not too bad. The pace of play slowed dramatically on the back nine. There were some scrambles ahead that were playing as two 8-some and there wasn’t a marshal to be had. We almost didn’t get in before dark from a 1:00 tee time.

I’ve Played Olde Sycamore quite a few times in my days. I always loved it! But in the last couple of years the reviews weren’t that great as green conditions worsened. Well after the new greens were installed this course was great! Glad they did some work to repair the course. Will be back to play another round.

The course was in great shape dispite the rain the night before. The greens were gorgeous and the course was challenging. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will go back!
