An amazing day at King Grant's
I treated my significant elbow to a nice game of Golf at King grants, in Fayetteville, just to give us something different to do outside our normal area and being at Golf as a girl passion. Don't retirement so well.I figured why not, we had a great time definitely will return
First of many visits
Playing this course was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The greens were exceptionally well-maintained and offered a true test of precision. It’s a course we look forward to returning to, and one we would readily recommend to fellow golf enthusiasts.
"Peak" KG
Played a heart round.
The best I've seen the greens in a long time.
Wet, Sloppy, Cart-parh-only... would expect anything less.
Fair
It’s a fair course, but honestly a lot of muddy areas in the fairway. But the lounge area was pretty good food was alright typical bar food and the staff was awesome 5star especially the bartender.
Great course
Course was really fun and staff was great. Only blemish is some of the tee boxes need some work. Other than that, very fun course.
KG HAS GONE BEYOND DOWN HILL WHERE IS OLD MANAGEMENT
On our way to Mrytle for our yearly vacation, we stop in Fayetteville and play our old home course and visit friends. However, the past four years have been horrific. This course has gone to you know what. The course was in fantastic shape after new ownership and the renovation of the clubhousein 2019. Never seen it better!! Since then it has decreased to a goat track. Members are allowed to hold up play. Tee times are never on time. Overall horrible experience. We ordered food after our long 5+hr round and after waiting 15 minutes to get our food order taken and waiting another 40 minutes to recieve the wrong order. I asked the bartender for Melissa the manager, who was always so friendly, attentive, and helpful. She also made the best food with love and care and put her all into making people happy and welcomed. She was the face of King's Grant. We wanted to say hello and catch up since we missed her the last couple of times and to see if she could correct our service/order and express our concerns about the course conditions. The bartender pointed to lady that wasn't her but said it was. The Melissa, she pointed to was too busy talking to friends to even notice we needed help. She had no clue we were even there. I asked another worker if he could get the manager. I never saw him get help and no one ever came. Service was horrible, staff was unwelcoming and unprofessional, glasses were dirty. No attention to detail on the course or in the clubhouse and the same excuses year after year for course conditions. Hitting off teeboxes with no grass, fake grass turf, weeds everywhere, members with no golf etiquette, fairways soggy, dead grass and patches everywhere, cart was dirty, driving range lack there of, sandy greens putted horrible and NO ONE IN CHARGE!!! WE WILL NOT BE BACK!! Those who say this is improvement and giving 5 stars do not know what they are talking about. The fairways are grean only because the season but they are crap too. Goat trap!! Downhill all the way!! I should have looked at the course website prior to playing.
There was several White Tee Boxes that had fake grass pads to hit off of. Instead of aerating the tee boxes and putting grass seeds down. And they don’t want you to wear blue jeans either it takes away from the experience off the other golfers.LOL.
Wet and wild
Course was still.wet from rains, was still a really nice course
Love that place
The King Has Fallen
Conditions were atrocious for the start of the season, especially on the back 9. Almost all tee boxes were either hitting off of mats or hitting off of their "tee boxes" that shared a large resemblance to their bunkers......sand with no grass. Drainage issues everywhere throughout. Also set a new record for longest round, so that's fun.
Pay the extra $15 and go somewhere nicer.
