Very nice layout, course in very good condition even if we played it in décembre.
Should be very interesting in summer,
Great bent greens
Challenging layout but the greens were the real star
Hidden Gem!
I had not played this course for about ten years, but, remembered it as one my golf buddies and I liked. It was nice to see the renovations had improved upon a good thing. The routing was still the same, but the course had a huge improvement in greens, sand traps, and tees. I highly recommend this course.
Great course
Lots of great holes out there, and the greens were super receptive.
Nice layout and quiet place to play
Great layout. Tee boxes and fairways were in very good condition. Greens were ok, not bad but not great. Pretty slow.
Overall conditions around the course were good but needs a little TLC around the edges to be really pristine.
Well worth the money. Very good practice range, chipping area, and putting green.
Staff were not friendly but whatever, it was worth playing here.
Tip top
The Bayonet is in great shape! Fairways are lush and the greens are smooth. Give this one a try!
I love this course
I start by saying this i play this regularly this is my favorite course in this area. I haven’t played it since March or April and holy crap they have made this course much more difficult. Not in a bad way but this course way a very easy course to play if you could play it right. Fairways were open and still are, nothing changed there which I love but what use to be an easy shot to make a GIR is not anymore, I love it, the greens were HUGE and it made it easy to make a birdie or par for and average to intermediate handicapper. They’ve shrunk the greens widen and deepened the bunkers and it make me angrily happy. What use to be a long birdie putt is now a bunker shot. I could not be more happy and excited for the updates that they have done to this course. I look forward to playing here more and see what updates they have coming. This course has always made you think now it makes you think more!!
Hidden Gem!
I've played many of the area courses and believe Bayonet is one of the best public courses around. It's very well maintained and has a gorgeous all grass driving range, with plenty of practice space. Peaceful and quiet holes with tall pines lining the fairways and greens. Highly recommend this course be added to your list when coming to Pinehurst and/or Fayetteville area for great golf!
Great value golf course
This course has very small tricky greens with A lot of blind tee shots. I played the course from the white tees and found the yardage to be nice for a golfer who can hit a two hundred yards tee shots.
Fun course for cheap
Fun course that makes you think. There are a bunch of holes on the back nine that force you to hit less than driver and place your tee shot. Good greens and great practice facility
