The golf world will point its focus toward an unlikely destination this summer - France.
The French aren't known for their love of golf - which I wrote about extensively in the lead up to the 2018 Ryder Cup. See the collection of stories below.
The same course that hosted the Ryder Cup will once again be in the spotlight: The Albatros Course at Le Golf National on the outskirts of Paris. The course, one of the best tournament venues in all of continental Europe, will host the men's and women's golf competitions during August's much-anticipated Summer Olympic Games.
To celebrate golf in France, we've built a special edition of Golfers' Choice 2024 to rank the best golf courses in the country based on our community of reviewers. We don't traditionally get many golf course reviews from France. We have less than 100 total in a decade. It's still worth looking at the data to get a glimpse into what local golfers like. To qualify, each course must have received at least two reviews. Private clubs were also eligible, which is a departure from all of our other Golfers' Choice lists.
