Very Nice course !
The course is in fantastic condition and is quite challenging. I would recommend to golfers of all levels.
Pinehurst quality and more
I've played almost all of the courses in Pinehurst and this one ranks right up there with the best of them. The course was beautiful and in prime condition. As it was my first time there the Pro in the shop walked me outside to point out the first T and personally drove me down to pick up my cart.
Beautiful course.
One of the most beautiful courses I've played on. Aced hole 11 on the West course. Will come back to play the East course.
The Course
The course was very challenging. It had a good mixture of easy and very difficult holes. The course was in very condition from tee to green.
Course has lots of twist
The west course offers a little bit of everything from shot holes to long ones narrow wide open and mixture of par threes. The par fives are not an easy birdie but sometimes a tough par. Had a great time. Played well. Greens in great shape. Would like them a little faster
Great value and experience. Strong Recommendation!
Great course conditions would have had a between good and excellent rating but the greens had been airrated and were not cut down. Very shaggy greens.
But course was way above average and had a fantastic time with our clients.
Excellent Course
Prime conditions. Bent grass greens in excellent shape for late July. Very challenging green designs that makes a seemingly medium challenge golf course into a true test. Concrete golf paths which is great on that L4 and L5 vertibrae. Service: bag attendants loading and unloading golf bags, cleaning clubs at end of play, complementary logo'd towels and tees. GPS'd golf carts. It's a steal for $30+ (probably $75 course) Warning: drinks start at $3 water n $4 soft, forget the beer
Great Value at under $40
I had a great time, enjoyed the round with poor play the day before and had to come back and play again, shot 7 strokes better after knowing more about the course, would recommend you play it three times in a row.
Great condition tee to green
Saturday afternoon round, played 18 holes in 3hrs. Course is in great shape.
Great little resort course!
If you can get a tee time greens fee at around $45 on GN it's a great deal. Normally around $65 any other way and a bit steep with so many other great courses around but still a nice little course well maintained with an attentive, considerate staff.
Fine course
Course was completely empty for our early afternoon round, which was nice. Greens were well maintained. GPS system is getting a little dated.
Grandover-West
The course played great, very different from afternoon to the morning, but still a great value for the course. I plan to play the course again and soon.
Challenging, Scenic Venue
This resort is a quality property with two excellent golf courses. Course I played was in good shape, particularly the greens which were very smooth and rolled true. A few fairways had some brown spots, but otherwise in nice shape. I played the West course on two days. After being paired with a twosome, it took about 4 and one-half hours to play behind what appeared to be a small company outing. Playing alone with an early morning tee time two days later, I played in a little less than three hours with the course virtually to myself. Using GolfNow made this a very good value for the quality golf course.
Nice
The course is always in great condition, gives a challenge to all skill levels, greens roll great, and staff is courteous and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Very nice coarse
Course was in great shape. Had to wait in clubhouse for an hour while a storm passed by. Course held up nice after heavy rain. Played with golfers that had been there before. This helped. Now that I have played it, will have a better idea what to do on certain holes. The GolfNow price was well worth the course. I hope I see more deals for this course. Definitely worth going. Free towel, divot fixer, tees, ball marker.
Food in the clubhouse was kind of high. Beer, coke, Snickers = $9
Great course!
Grandover west is a great course. It was my first time playing west, I've played east several times. West is shorter, but more narrow. Very little water (which I liked). The greens are huge and pretty difficult with lots of elevation changes. The only bad thing about course is that the front 9 didn't bring you back by the Clubhouse, the the small little building "Cafe" was closed, so we were dying for something to drink, so bring extra drinks if the cafe is closed. Overall great experience, great course and prestige condition.
Great Course Great Value
This course is probably the best value for the $$ in the area. This is a tour ready course and you get treated like a tour member. Any place else for the same course/treatment would cost $30-$50 more. Good Value Great Course
Grand course
We played 4/5/2014. We had hoped that Greensboro had had warm enough weather by now that the course would have greened up-not the case! It was as brown her as it is at home in Arlington, VA, where we live. The course was fine other than that. The greens had been punched and sanded recently but were in ok shape. We were surprised how few people were playing on a cool sunny Saturday afternoon. We played as a twosome and played in less than 4 hours. Nice staff. I would recommend this course to others. Easy access from I -85
Birthday round
I bought a round for my son for his birthday . We had a foursome and it was overcast and on and off light to misty rain. I for the weather that we had the previous 10 hrs before our tee time the course was in great playing condition. The staff was also very friendly. I can't wait to get another hot deal on Golf Now to play again at The Grandover Resort.
Thanks
