Mountain Harbour Golf Club

A very fun golf course to play. Many elevation changes with challenging tee shots. A few holes require local knowledge from the tee on doglegs, but generally what you see is what you get. There aren't a lot of water hazards but those that challenge you are easily unavoidable. One par three over water requires correct clubbing depending on pin location.

The course is a beauty with many large private residences. The putting green was not in the best of shape. Fairways are generous. Course greens had been dressed and sanded two weeks prior to my round; slow and bumpy, but acceptable.

I would recommend The Ridges for a fun time on a course with high potential to be outstanding with better conditioning.

If you are a golfer and live in the area and are not taking advantage of the rates and the lay out of this course you are missing out . I am out of state and in the area here every few months and plan to play whenever I can . Great value and a beautiful area. Staff very friendly and accommodating .

The course is not overly long but you are able to hit a variety of clubs and shots. The course was in excellent condition for early spring even with rain 30 minutes before my tee time. The views from the course are wonderful. I can't wait to come back later in the year when the course is in prime shape.

Love the course, played it many times and will again. Today it is in less than gold shape even considering the season. Fairways with stubble for grass, greens that are like rough.

Paired with 2 guys who were nice but slower than a glacier that backed up the whole course. Nothing my partner and I could do without rudeness.

Simply put, they over booked the course, hence, by the time I reached the back 9, it looked like a traffic jam in Atlanta. Too frustrated to finish, I skipped the entire back 9.

So here's the down side to Hot Deals...unless you join the VIP from GolfNow, you really have no recourse when things like this crop up.

If I had gone full price through the club house, which I would gladly pay, then maybe I could have been compensated (somehow)?

The allure for me of prepay via GolfNow is beginning to fall off some...

Maybe more thought on peek season deals could lessen collateral impacts this year?!

P.S.: Before I left the course, I also, tactfully mentioned this at the club house...

It was cart path only which makes it quite exhauting. That along with the goose hockey made for just an alright experience. The Food was great though. Will definitely do Ridges again!!!!!!!

I have played the course many times and enjoy the course layout Beautiful setting and interesting holes At this time, the greens and bunkers are in very poor condition. Greens were very rough and extremely slow - very frustrating to play. No bunkers had been repaired recently and several had badly washed places. Hope this is corrected because this is a good course.

Course in great shape but greens need healing. Wet day had to stay on paths. Bummer!

Although it rained all day, the course was playable. ... Good drainage of fairways and greens. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Off the beaten path in the Blue Ridge Mountains but if you're within driving distance of this course just enjoy the drive and play it. Great course conditions and beautiful mountain views without too many of the tough uphill, downhill, sidehill lies that often come with mountain golf courses because it mostly runs through a valley.

i wish i had been informed that the greens had recently been plugged. it made it difficult to rely on many putts.

Good golf course. Greens alittle sandy still, but nice.

Challenging layout with good opportunities to score, yet you have to be careful on your teeth shots. Staff was great, and the pace of play was very good. Carts have GPS system which gives very accurate distances to the pin, and also allows you to see distances to bunkers and hazards. Great must play course.

We traveled to Hiwassee Georgia for an overnight stay and booked our round at The Ridges a course we had never played before. The golf course was awesome the greens had been plugged a couple weeks prior and were not completely. Overall we were well pleased with our round and the scenery was awesome despite the smoke from fires burning in the nearby NC mountains . Definitely going back to The Ridges.
