Fine for the value
Look, it’s not a TPC course, but the course is good for practice and I like it because there’s never a wait. The fairways and greens are fine, not great, but not bad either. Staff is friendly and for the money it’s a good way to spend a round.
Course was in great shape
First time playing here. Course in great shape, especially for this time of year. Great value for the money. Staff was friendly. Will definitely be back.
First time player
Course was great, staff was great can’t wait to go back again!
Somewhat of a hidden gem...
Played this course for the first time this weekend and I was pretty impressed. Didn’t expect much given that I’d never heard of it until it popped up on GolfNow. Given the rain and cold conditions, the course was in pretty good shape. It has an old school municipal kind of feel to it but is really well kept. Much nicer course than I was expecting, especially for the money. Challenging but forgiving, large receptive greens, hilly fairways. Lots of blind tee shots, does heavily favor left to right ball flight. Staff was very friendly and helpful as it was very busy since they were on a frost delay on Sunday morning. Pace wasn’t bad, 4 1/2 hours after waiting in a line of a dozen carts to tee off. I will definitely be back sooner than later.
Okay, not great!
Front nine plays back to back, with some homes along the way. Back nine is very different, holes are tree lined and few homes. Conditions were okay considering the green fees.
Great Value
A quality course for the price. The greens were in excellent condition in the early morning. Well worth the drive.
Great course
One of our favorites in the area.....Tee to green always great condition.......staff always superb as well!
Mountain views
Being from Florida which is flat the distinct difference in a hilly course was thrilling
Gauging different levels and having more blind shots was exciting
Cooler temperatures meant not wilting over last few holes which was needed to overcome the tight spaces over the last 3 holes
Overall a nice day with nice views
Thoroughly enjoyed the day
Nice course...a lot of blind shots
I like the course layout because you have to think about club selection and shot shape on each hole. The back nine is completely away from the club house and harder than the front. You have to play the course a couple of times to know where to hit your drive and second shots.
The course conditions where excellent and for the area only Deer Brook and River Bend are in better shape. All three are better than 80% of the Charlotte courses. Last note, the greens are quick and sometimes difficult to read the break correctly.
