Good Ole Boy Type of Course
If you’re in with the groupies or should I say good ole boy network this place is fantastic. Course management doesn’t respond to several emails I’ve sent on why they only book for 3-4 people. Getting on this course as a single is impossible!!! 3-4 in a group pay 14 bucks each on Golfnow. Can’t make a tee time if you’re a single player unless you show up at course and then you’ll probably pay 22-26 for your tee time. So if they only got tee times for 3-4 people mid week that tells these groupings really don’t have a job or are working. So if your an older person who hangs out at the course with your buddies who live in the area then you’re a good ole boy correct? No reason why I can’t make a tee time as a single player mid week. Weekends I can understand 3-4 can reserve tee time. But mid week? Place is dead! But that’s the way good ole boys operate. And the management on course doesn’t respond to e-mails I’ve sent regarding there Golfnow arrangements. Unsat. Nice course. Played there before as a single. But not anymore....
Excellent course for the price
I have golfed at The River numerous times. There have been major improvements to the bunkers and was extremely pleased with enhancements to the course. Its a challenging course and you cannot beat the price. Staff is friendly and there has never been a delay in tee-time. The pace of play was excellent and I cannot say enough good things about this course.

Great Course
Fun course with nice greens. Will be back to play again. Not at the fault of the course, but the river had flooded a few of holes on one side of the rough. If you hit them straight, it won’t be an issue.
Course staff are very helpful
would definitely contact the course if you have an issues with Golfnow, amazing staff!!!
great shape
This course is in the best shape I have ever seen. Plush fairways ,rough is up and greens are rolling great after just a few weeks from being punched. Keep up the good work. We’ll be back soon.

Great value
Course has a good design. Conditions were good. The greens are fast and very difficult on some holes.

It's a great golf course, that is very challenging and fast greens! Bring extra balls
Great course for the price.
Your drive and approach are most important. Greens roll better then you'd think. A chip in par on the 1st hole and a true birdie on the 3rd well definitely bring me back at another time in the future.
Worth the ride
Frist of all, I might be a little bias; have been playing this course for a while, so keep that in mind. The course is in good shape , for this time of year. I can tell they have been working on it. It has come along way from where it was. I believe they have new carts which is nice;we had separate carts due the social distancing. The course was playing a little easier since the Bermuda hasn't kick in yet. I look forward to playing this course again,

Nice value
Enjoyed the round. Cart lady cleaned and sanitized the cart in front of us! Layout was good. Super thin lies and uneven tee-boxes were kind of frustrating. There were people shooting shotguns on the other side of the river. Not great for my PTSD, and very distracting. But hey, it’s the country, nothing the club did.
Beautiful course with great layout
Couldn’t be more pleased with this course. Great use of water on almost every hole and it really makes you think about your tee shots. Will be back soon.
Great Greens and challenging. Not a heavily used course so pretty open even on a Saturday. Will definitely go back
