Another nice round
Another nice round at Glen Oaks. Fairways were nice, greens quick and consistent. Pace of play was reasonable though we had a few singles and doubles tee off behind us, so had to let them through. Not sure why they weren't paired up. Otherwise, nice course and I would play again.
I enjoy playing Glen Oak. I wish courses would disclose they plug their greens. I typically call but going through Golfnow, it slip my mind.
Nice outing!
Course was in great shape, greens were fast and true. Carts were nice and Pro Shop staff was very helpful. 2nd time playing here and would certainly go back when the price is right.
Hidden Gem
Absolutely loved this track. In great condition. The course isn't a long course even from the tips (around 6300 I believe), but it still provides a solid challenge. Drove almost an hour to play this course and it immediately jumped to one of my top three in the Charlotte area. Even with the drive, I'll be playing this course more often. Very enjoyable round.
Think about your skills when you play
There are golf holes that really make you think about the options you have. To score well you must match your abilities with what the hole demands. There are holes that you must have it on the correct side of the fairway. There are holes where you can be creative in your efforts wether to approach the green with a lofted club or use the contour to run shots onto the green. I think all will leave the course thinking the should have played a certain hole a different way. And with the great staff and this nice golf course you will be back soon.
Layout and conditions
We are finding this to be a very challenging, but enjoyable course. We love all the water holes and the challenging layout. Cant beat the price. Carts are 1st class too.
Excellent value!
This is an excellent course to challenge your game. Greens are small forcing accuracy with the irons. Some holes require a player to know where to position themselves off the tee to get a good look at the green. Friendly staff! Will definitely play again soon!
Great Course
The course was in great shape and the pace of play was good. We weren’t pressed and wasn’t pushing up on the group in front of us.
Early Aug Morning Round
Booked 7:30 tee time, got to go off early. Played in 2 hours. Course is in good shape for the price. One of the best tracks in the area
