Great Value
I played last week and was very impressed. In my opinion, the first three holes aren't real great, but 4-18 are great holes with a great mix of birdie holes and challenging holes.
Pace of play was a little slow, which I've been told can be a problem there.
No driving range to warm up on was a bummer. They do have a decent short game area, however, the green in the short game area isn't mowed any shorter than the fairway, which is always a pet peeve of mine.
Staff was great. The guy in the shop even gave me a yardage book when I checked in and told him it was my first time playing there. Although the yardage book wasn't entirely accurate, some holes had been changed and the depictions were a little off scale, it was nice to have as a reference guide.
excellent course
Very nice course. Very good condition. Very friendly staff. Love the elevation changes. A little far away from greensboro but I will venture out to play again sometime.
work in progress
Overall course is challenging. There are abt 6 holes where a well placed tee shot is required for any chance of an open second shot. Water hazards are absolutely in pay on the holes which have them. Overall course was in good shape and you can see where they have trimmed back some rough to offer relief from errant shots. Worth the money charged to play.
Great weather!
Had a good time playing this course.
Went as a single and paired with 2 seniors.
Course is set up well with plenty of challenges. Pace was a bit slow, but the weather was perfect.
Value was awesome as I paid $15 for a summer round at noon.
nice course
nice course, good for a beginner, but also for a intermediate
Worth every cent. What a hidden gem.
You will not find a better deal. if you're in the area you must play this course. No bare spots on the green. The balls checked up the best I've ever played. I felt like the pros on TV spinning my shot back 10 feet after it lands.
Fairways are in excellent condition. Cart path was pretty rough in spots but you don't hit balls from the cart path. Challenging layout in that you are forced to hit something other than driver from a few tees.
Plays a little short so may want to move back a tee box. Good scenery. When you cross over to hole 16 you actually see a sign where Lord Cornwallis led his British Army troops across Dutchman's creek in the very spot you're driving you're driving your cart across. That's pretty cool.
I got a hot deal and only paid $12. I'm still in awe at how good a deal it was for this place.
Great course for the money
The course is in the best shape I've seen it in years. Saturday was packed because it was 74 degrees in July and it took forever to get through the round other than that it was great.
Wide open
Great course, wide open fairways, greens were in good shape, the yardages we're accurate. A little bit of course knowledge would've helped on a few shots, but all in all it was well worth the drive.
The course is well maintained. The staff are nice. Grill needs to be open more often.
Great course to play! Layout and maintenance of course is awesome. Just don't plan on getting a hot dog or hamburger. Don't get me wrong. You can get something to heat up in the microwave from the refrigerator...Just not the same as having the grill open. Need to find a way to encourage people to stay after playing a round to get a bite and a drink.
Same great experience as usual!
Played with 3 gentlemen from church and had a wonderful day. The fairways were well kept, the first cut of rough was playable and the greens rolled true.We all enjoyed the grill and appreciate the friendliness and courtesy of the course staff. This course is @ 45 minutes away from us but we will definitely be back!
What a disappointment
I had played this course many times before but it is very bad shape and it looks like they haven't done anything in years. They are changing some holes and it's terrible. Don't even think about going here you'll be very disappointed.
Fun course
I play this course often. It's a good course and has some shots to challenge everyone. Nice mix of flat greens and sloped greens. It's been punched recently so the greens are recovering and still a little like playing Plinko.
Solid
Course was a bit brown and the greens had just been aerated so they were bumpy but give it 2 weeks and it'll be great
Friday Golf
Another great day of golf! Greens have been aerated recently.
Good layout, good greens
Pudding Ridge is a good course, not long, but a good mix of hole designs. There are several holes with elevation changes that make them challenging. The greens are good, consistent speeds and will hold approach shots. For late Feb the course was in decent shape overall.
great course for the price
Pace of play was very slow it kills momentum people hitting two balls of the tee not good...
Pudding Ridge Course Review
The pace of play was unacceptable, due to some of the course regulars that were very inconsiderate. Several groups of 5 and 6 players caused the course to back-up, and on one hole the fivesome putted out, then returned to the fairway and replayed the hole, while the next two groups waited on the tee box. There was no ranger on the course, and the clubhouse personnel seemed uninterested. I traveled 25 miles to play this course and 25 miles back home. I'll never play there again.
Flat course for the most part. Water holes make it interesting.
Nice course. In good shape for this time of year. Does not appear to drain well as there were wet areas without any recent rain.
Great course for the price
This golf course is definitly a hidden gem in the back woods of davie county
