Yadkin Country Club
About
Yadkin Country Club is a par-72 championship golf course that is one of the area's best kept secrets. It offers all the facets of Southern golf without the crowds. The Yadkin Valley stretches east from the Blue Ridge Mountains across the rolling hills of the North Carolina Piedmont. Like many golf courses in the area, Yadkin is routed up and down rolling terrain and through mature trees. The layout is challenging with an interesting mix of holes, none of which run parallel to each other. The par 3s are long and there are a few reachable par 5s. The par 4s will make you think, requiring thoughtful drives and approaches. Strategically placed bunkers and mounding lurk throughout and water hazards come into play on a few holes. Yadkin Country Club is a tough but fair layout that emphasizes strategy over strength.

Nice fairways and greens for the price
The course is nice. It's fairly open but still some tough dog legs. a nice flow of cuts around the greens allows for some tricky short game shots. Kind of a bummer about the $16 dollar rider fee for my wife to read a book and listen to me curse my bad shots
Complete lack of course maintenance
This course might be the worst I have ever played. It was actually painful to ride in the cart as the cart paths are crumbling and in many places completely impossible to drive on. The fairways are not any better to drive on, constantly jarring my back. All of the sand traps have been abandoned; only red clay exists in them. Erosion has impacted many parts of the course. The greens were OK. The fairways were below average. The Tee boxes are not maintained. For a practice round, the price is great, but I'm not sure it was worth the sore back I left with. I will not return.
So much potential
I want to start off by saying, we booked the wrong day on accident and I called TeeOff to try swap the day from Saturday to Sunday. The lady politely told me I could just book for Sunday and they don’t give refunds or exchanges for mistakes like that. It was a hot deal so it is what it is paid for on the day I paid. Ok whatever, we just made it work.
For the course, it has such a great layout. They have some course maintenance that could take place to make it a much better experience. The cart paths are worse than anything I have seen. The greens actually wasn’t awful. They rolled super slow all but the 18th green. It was pretty quick considering. They did have a great selection of drinks and a handful of snacks to choose from at the turn.
But with everything going up as expensive as it has, it would be a huge undertaking and it would most definitely drive the price of the course up. It is nice to have a decent spot to play that doesn’t cost $75 to play.
Nice for a quick round
Course empty on a hot day. Good conditions. Cart paths a bit rough in places
All other country clubs should sue them for using that name
This place could be so nice but unfortunately the bunkers with weeds and dirt zero sand the greens with way too many dead spots and the greens with high grass. I can usually play rounds with out a lost ball but lost 6 today. There are a dozen courses near by that would be way better experience
**Yadkin Country Club Review: 1/5 Stars**
I recently played 18 holes at Yadkin Country Club, paying just $24 for the round, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. While the fairways and greens were in decent condition, that's where the positives ended.
The golf carts were old and in poor condition, making for an uncomfortable and frustrating ride. But the most concerning aspect of my visit was the overall state of the course infrastructure. The bunkers were in terrible shape — more like concrete than sand, making it nearly impossible to play out of them.
The worst part, however, was the cart paths. There were at least 10 areas with large, dangerous gaps that, if you're not paying attention, could easily cause you to flip your cart. It’s clear that the cart paths have been neglected for years, and no effort has been made to fix them.
Yadkin Country Club has so much potential, but it seems like no one has made an effort to maintain the course or improve the facilities. It's a shame because with proper attention and care, this could be a great course. As it stands, though, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone until significant improvements are made.
Horrific conditions
This course needs a total make over and the conditions are a hazard for anyone trying to stay on the cart paths. Customer service was rude and not accommodating at all. Don’t waste your money, go anywhere else would be my suggestion. Needless to say I will not be going back.
The greens were good. Everything else NOT good.
Cart paths were.... non-existant. They were washed out and the pavement was cracked. They haven't paved the cart path in years.... if ever. The fairways were spotted with dirt and rocks. The bunkers were hard, rocky clay with no sand. There were several inches of leaves all over the fairways, so you would lose your balls in the middle of the fairway. The leaves weren't blown off in several days. I lost more balls that I have ever lost and i didnt lose them in the woods either. It turned out to be the most expensive rou d of golf I have had in a while if you count the balls I lost.
Nice
The sides of the fairways, a little rough and cart paths bad, but not bad for the money
